while they were upgrading the server they had a message that said 'forums gone' instead of something like 'forum undergoing maintenance' |

Avalon typically only sells half its ticket via presale. Get there early and you can get in on sold out nights. I don't really hear of people who are smart and go early of not being able to get in, even on sold out nights.
Right from the MS sold out show ticket page:
"We only sell 50% of our capacity in advance for each event. If you do not have a ticket, we strongly suggest arriving by 10PM for your best chances of getting in." |
