Ableton Broken, Need New DAW

I can't really take the automation delay. You would think this wouldn't be a problem in the day and age where everything is automated like crazy, but Ableton still hasn't fixed the problem.
Maybe Live 9 will finally fix the problem? I don't think I want to wait until they announce it and possibly find out that they aren't going to.
All I want to be able to do is to draw in some automation without having to fuss over the order of plug ins or reordering plug ins, or moving automation over to compensate.
I don't want to have to think about this kind of crap.
Slow and long changes work okay because you don't really notice it, but if you want to create careful note by note changes then you're kind of ed.
I was thinking of switching over to studio one v2 for the time being and continue to watch Ableton. There's also bitwig on the horizon as well...
Out of sync automation...its part of the Ableton Live sound! |

Just get logic and all you'll need to worry about is what to produce next.
I hate ableton with a passion. Even fl supports duel monitors. |

Yup. Reaper for the win. Cheap, ungodly routable/flexible/configurable...no downside unless you want high end controller support.
Free unlimited Mac/PC demo so why not give it a shot? |

| Rather ironic how the pulpit preaching piracy avenger is promoting a demo that actually is not unlimited in so far as what the developers delineate as the length it should be used. Nice one. IN your own words. stop pirating you cheap mother ******. |

Moron, get a reading comp teacher. I didn't say it was free. The demo is unlimited. Look it up ;)

Yep, agree, here is the quote from their site:
"No Risk
The evaluation version of REAPER is complete and uncrippled. There are no artificial interruptions or restrictions, and you can save and load projects normally. We believe in giving you a fair chance to make sure that REAPER works correctly with your hardware and suits your workflow."

I guess I'm Clooney's target of choice this week. Oh well, if he wasn't disrupting the whole site with his BS vendettas, I'd say it would be fun. But he is, so be it.

| Reaper on a mac? works good or not? |

The guys on the Reaper board say it's stable. I'm on a PC so can't say for sure, but the mac guys there are happy with it.

they clearly state you have 30 days. You might have to read a font that isn't 24. |
