A little tough getting in on Saturday, but outside of that, both days were AMAZING! Excellent tunes, great sound systems, very cool vibe, amazing weather, decent access to bathrooms, plenty of dance spaces, chill spaces & free water...couldn't ask for anything more!
Surpassed my expectations & will definitely go again next year. Hoping this becomes an annual event for T.O! :)

What an amazing weekend !!!
DD was way above all what I experienced in Toronto! The echo beach was on fire: good vibe, good music, amazing weather, plenty of space and bathrooms!
I just took the saturday pass, and ended up getting in on sunday for free !!! (as afrojack was not abble to make it on saturday so they decided to let in all the people with a one day pass for free)
2 days for 60 bucks, can't think of anything better!

pretty damn good time. got there right at 12 on saturday, then obvously heard about all the mayhem that ensued later. sucks that all those people missed out on the earlier sets. i had to get my wristband from rogers and it was pretty quick but obviously it wasn't scalable enough to handle a big crowd. security was friendly but they took my unopened bag of cheetos, still don't know why.
we spent the first couple hours exploring and lounging on some of the beanbags set back from the local stage in the shade of that purple overhang thing. this stage was basically deserted except when deko-ze came on in the evening but the tunes were pretty good. headed over to the digital stage to scope the setup and see some of bt's set. not too many people were there so the sound level wasn't insanely high, we weren't feeling the music that much and also it was incredibly hot. the constant rogers ads on the front of the dj booth in place of visualizations were kind of a buzzkill as well
headed back to the beach and it was obviously the hot spot at that point. sarah louise was dropping bombs and people were really feeling it, until her laptop crashed from the heat :S she handled it really well though, got on the mic and explained what happened, made a joke about not knowing how hot it gets in canada, and put the music back on. beach balls flying, everyone grooving. it seemed like she didn't really re-capture the flow from before the laptop crash, but at that point we took a break anyways. after chilling for a bit we went to check out a-trak at the dreams stage. it was a lot more crowded than before and people seemed to love it, there wasn't much flow though and after i heard a nicki minaj vocal we quickly booked. by this point we realized all the sets were going late and i automatically assumed it was afrojack's fault. turns out i was right haha. later on at the beach they announced that he wouldn't make it, and most people cheered. then they booed when it was announced that he would still play on sunday. good for a chuckle
by now the heat was really getting to us especially the girls, so we managed to snag a beanbag again. they were probably gross but there really was a lack of shade and places to sit. deko-ze was ripping the canada stage, that was the busiest i saw it all weekend. obviously we made it back to see lawler and richie. i don't know what it is but i've never enjoyed steve lawler live. just not my cup of tea i guess. everyone else was really into it. richiw was unreal though. the visuals weren't amazing but he was just fantastic. i took some video but realized later it was probably too far away to look any good.
sunday we came later, just in time to catch chus + ceballos. man i love these guys, so consistently amazing. you could tell right away there were a ton more people out for day 2, and it wasn't quite as hot as saturday but getting around the grounds was definitely more challenging. caught some of mark knight too, i was expecting more commercial and thankfully he didn't go that way. slipped over to the dreams stage to see the end of afrojack. again, everyone jumping around having a good time but it was really packed. the set ended kind of abruptly and he didn't allow anyone on stage until he was done so there was about 10 mins of dead air, really unprofessional. we probably would have hung around for a bit if designer drugs came right on but meh.
Headed to the washrooms at the front and on our way back we passed by adam k on the canada stage. had a good crowd and he was belting it out. mainstream tracks but really solid remixes and of course he kept himself fully occupied twiddling knobs and teasing the crowd. hung out there for quite awhile, as my gf said his style is just enjoyable and so easy to listen to. finally it was time for carlo and dubfire. the beach was really busy but it was dark out by then so the temperature was nice and cool. the visuals were solid and everyone was just in oooohing and ahhing at all the big drops. at one point four dancers with robot-like LEDs on them came out which was a nice touch. got some of that on video as well. the low end was nice and heavy, the vibe was really bouncy, and of course the TAs had a nice pocket in front of the sound tent which made for a nice comfortable viewing spot.
we headed out a bit before the end and could hear some of kaskade as we walked east along the water. it was really vocal which was not at all like when i saw him at TIL, although back then i thought his sound was really boring. i guess now with his fame it's just straight cheese. oh well, no skin off my back. i had list at an after party but was just wiped so my disco nap turned into a full night's sleep. overall i had an amazing time but i can see how it could have all been soured if i had been caught outside, or didn't have enough cash, or didn't drink enough water. the crowd seemed quite good and you could easily avoid the underagers by sticking to the beach, which was just awesome all weekend. glad i went and it definitely made me more likely to attend more events there in the future. hopefully the venue works out its kinks, and electronic nation fixes things on their end for next time as well. i really dislike live nation but they did well to get this festival booked and announced before veld or they probably would have had really low numbers. it would have been nice if there was a trance stage even if it was small. the bass stage was incredibly loud but it was nice to go through for a bit, way more jungle/dnb than dubstep which i was glad for.
that's as much as i remember anyways. nice to meet those of you that i believe the success of this event will mean a lot more electronic festivals which hopefully is a good thing

Ya considering Spain won the Euros and pablo was wearing a spain jersey, you'd think they were going to kill it. It was a little disappointed, and their last track (I forget some old school hip hop song) left me with... Ugh mark knight next. Which was somewhat mediocre as well.
But thankfully carlo+dubfire killed it. What made me happy, was dubfire playing The Dolphins - Alba (dubfire remix) amazing!
But I really like lawlers and richies set the most, and most consistent.

Guy Gerber & Nic Fanciulli. These two were just top level music in my books. I had really started to give up on Nic, but he certainly gave me a reason to really enjoy him once again. Next up I'd say Dubfire. He started out with a slow build up and just let loose full throttle until we left.
C&C was just ok - got the crowd going but just not too exciting.
I loved the vibe of the party on the beach Sunday much more than Satruday as well. The visuals on the stage were great Sunday night as well. Went so well with the dark chugging music. The dancers were a nice touch as well.
Lawler was Lawler - he wasn't great - but he certainly did not dissapoint me. Hawtin was a little up and down - had some great drops and intense builds - but nothing overly memorable.
Overall I really enjoyed Digital Dreams - once we got back the crap that happened when we went to get our wristbands through Rogers - I would certainly consider the festival again next year if it were to happen.
