lol what he would do without presets... i knew his strongest skills were the melodies (imo they are quite elaborated compared to the prog.house standard) but being that amateur considering he might be on the top 3 this year is ridiculous.

lol, yea, I saw that too. But what got me was his workflow and how easily he seemed to move forward. It seemed almost effortless in how this track was created. To be able to see this, Avicii, in the studio, was almost as cool as being able to hang out w/ Deadmau5 while he made the Veldt. Top notch production. Future Music needs to do more "full length" episodes. One can really learn a lot.

future music vidoes are awsome imo - haven't watched that one yet. I would recommend the Sean Tyas one though - what a ledgend

Also the CM Joof vidoes are top

YOu could be as good as him if you just used FL and Nexus. Oh, and don't forget the stock FL plug ins! Hahaha, I like Avicii.
Rodri Santos
well i use the 3xosc in fl studio to create white noise, a pro should be able to create decent sounds in all the vsts but i'd not qualify him as a pro. I like his music tho.

that is 100% Euro. Nothing american about this style of house. Well it isn't house. It is euro dance. He has awful skin tone. Watching him work was painful. Like clicking notes note sure what they are or what they are doing.

His songs are good. They aren't easy to make either. Also, as far as presets, some people make really good presets. If making synths isn't your skill than why not leave it to someone who has a passion for making synths? The goal should be to make a good song not to have a purist attitude about having to make everything yourself and have a worse song as a result.

they aren't good. Poorly produced, generic chord progressions , absolutely nothing there, The dance production in Lady Gaga's latest album was more cutting edge than what he does.
If you like Avicii, you are 10 years old or suffer from some for of auditory aphasia.

this isn't about style. This is poor music. And if you want to get into the nitty gritty details about what makes it bad, well we can. He is pathetic.
