Picadilly, haven't seen the new one. Stage and set up seem to be similar. I would love to go to a WP party. Every DJ there kills it. |

Awesome. I went to one last October. Definitely one of the coolest spaces I've ever partied in! The new location is actually in a warehouse this time lol |

I arrived around midnight. Really liked the music that Loco Dice was playing, but it was very difficult to find room to dance. I'm quite accustomed to spending the early part of nights at the back of clubs so that I have enough room to move around. But, there was no escaping the congestion at The Hoxton last night.
Richie came on at 1 and started practicing magic like he always does. Every time I see him perform, I'm blown away by the way he plays and mixes music. Richie always elicits such an incredible response from the crowd, and makes me move in ways I can't control. Just after his set began, I accepted the fact that there was nowhere to carve out more than a minuscule amount of dance space and ventured close to the stage where it was more congested than any party I've been to. I'm glad Code disclosed the fact that The Hoxton was going to be a sardine can in advance. Otherwise, I might have been frustrated. Fortunately, I managed to create a little space for myself by progressively increasing the intensity of my dance moves.
I'm terrible with identifying tracks, so I won't bother, but Richie was really playing excellence and keeping everyone excited. The 90 minute set was a bit short. The place was definitely still at capacity when they shut it down at 2:30. I guess The Hoxton wasn't interested in continuing the party past last call? Or, perhaps that's just the nature of the Control Tour.
The sound quality was top notch. In fact, I didn't even consider putting my ear plugs in. In the past couple of years, I've worn my earplugs for 60%+ of my time spent at every party. Most events, I keep them in for the entire show. Last night, however, there was absolutely no need. This morning, my ears have not the slightest ringing, and yet, the sound was full, banging, deep and loud.
The Hoxton does nothing for me as a venue. It's simply too long and narrow.
Incredible music. Incredible sound. Not enough room to move. Would have been awesome had the promoters sold 200 fewer tickets. |

| Definitely not a flop, but absolutely a sardine can. I kinda hope this tour does flop though, maybe then richie will get back into the studio instead of just repackaging the same old shpiel over and over again. |

I think there's about a 0% chance of that happening. |

Yeah it definitely won't happen, he's was too PR savy and people eat it up. He'll spin this into a dvd documentary, limited edition collectors cd set, etc., and then next year he'll do it all over again lol |

i heard the lecture was really good actually, shame i couldn't make it
stayed near the back of the venue by the entrance for the most part, didn't see any speakers back there. sound got slightly better for each dj. really enjoyed richie's set, dice i could take or leave, carl craig was decent but the volume was pretty low since it was early on
most of my friends who have been there before said that if it was that packed with the normal hoxton crowd, it would have been absolutely unbearable. luckily the crowd was very friendly, in my experience anyways
overall a good night, can't complain |

That was a great Night. All Artists played really good and trust me
People thats the best party you will ever be able to do at the Hoxton.
The owner made an exception last night to keep the volume pretty good.
And we have done a few shows at the Hoxton and yesterday was by far the best.
To be Honset the Hozton is one of the last venues we would use but
it worked and sounded great yesterday.
Obviously this party was going to be packed.
In Germany 10 000 people would have been at a show like this.
This is how we pay richie' fee :P
Carl Craig played the best IMO. |
