And yep, drink prices were nicely inexpensive.... other than red bull vodkas which surprisingly cost about the same as here! |

we had a great time too. I don't know if I'll do BPM next year though. Getting sick really left a sour taste in me (and especially my butt).
Musically, the place is awesome. Every party you go to, the people that you meet are really in to the music and know who are headlining. A rare thing to see. |

What everyone contracted was the NoroVirus. It's spreading like wildfire not only in Mexico but on cruise ships and across the US. It's highly contagious, and can be contracted by touching someone with it and touching your mouth or sharing food with a contracted person or sneezes, or touching something an infected person touched and then eating something or touching your mouth.
My wife got it, but the entire time in Mexico I washed my hands constantly and used hand sanitizer (I'm a bit of a germaphobe) and didn't get it at all.

No not at all. It's spreading similar to the swine fly though.
NoroVirus is a 48 hour bug, so certainly not as strong as the swine flu, but a small amount of people with weak immune systems are dying from it.
I've been to Mexico at least 25 times and have never heard of it there. It just so happens this virus was spreading while BPM was going on all over the world. |
