Also, sober people just suck the fun out of anything. Stay home. Dance while you clean. The last thing a party needs is another dude just standing there watching. Take your drugs, dance , and leave when are done dancing. I don't get those people that are juts sitting on their ass waiting for something.

god forbid the sober people have some fun

who the are you to judge, fletcher reede

I eventually came to a point where I wouldn't leave my house to go partying until 2am. This made for ample nap time, from 6 - midnight or so. Sober, or not, marathon parties are taxing. You have to make a choice.

i lasted 20 out of a 23 hour tenaglia set once, but the drugs were spectacular.

I've done 12hrs + on many occasions, totally sober.

I got progressively tired, obviously, but not to a point where it was a serious issue. In fact, the only issue I ever got was an aching lower back towards the end of a marathon session.

Now may be a different story. Although my last long session was 24hrs, in Miami last year.... not bad for an old bastard.

Same here. A disco nap prior to heading to the club was necessary, though. Try that, OP.
Eat healthy, take your vitamins and have lots of rest. I was able to pull off full Tenaglia sets while dancing non-stop, sober (you know how lengthy his sets are, the man is a machine.. but so was I).
Drink a lot of water and Gatorade throughout the night, very important to stay hydrated.

A lot of my friends could not keep up sober, though. Some people are just simply unable to strain their bodies for that long without feeling like a used tampon 5 hours into the night.

This was a long time ago when I was younger and bursting with energy. I probably would not be able to do it now. :/

I've been skipping the warm up acts and just going at 1am to like 3 or 4 am. No more than 2 drinks, no drugs. Then I drive home listening to classical music and sleep all day.

1 Sleep all day, or at least go to bed from say 5 to 10pm if you can.

2 Eat the biggest meal you can before getting into the club.

3 Keep eating throughout the night, if possible. This is the most important thing, believe it or not. As you already know, water is too. But food more so I think.

4 Stay away from caffeine and stimulants. They only help for 2, 3, maybe 4 hours. In the long run they are worse.

5 Stretch. Seriously. I know it's lame but you can just do a cheeky calf stretch against the bar. Or sit down and then touch your toes with your head on your knees, for like 5 seconds. You wouldn't believe how much better this makes your legs feel when you've been standing for 8 hours.

Just be thankful you don't have to do what I do...10, 11 and 12 hour hospitality shifts until 12 or 1am, and THEN 10 hours of clubbing. Hence why I've become pro at this .

Another thing is to take care of your feet. Get a golf ball and a tennis ball and use them to massage your feet during the week, and before/after big nights. Just put one on the ground, stand on it and roll it around. Feels amazing and its great for blood flow and recovery ect.

Or you could just use drugs. Yeah you should probably just use drugs.

Same. It's doable but make sure you love all of the music. Otherwise, just rock up later. Who says you have to be there the entire time? I've often ducked out half way to get a feed and some fresh air, then back in later.

Good point, I don't think I could manage a 12hr country & western festival.

Without taking copious amounts of drugs, that is.
