I do not know how long you have been listening to Electronic music, or your knowledge of it, but anyone that knows electronic music, knows Daft Punk is not it, they never have been, they are musically on the same level as Aqua

I first heard Daft Punk's 'Da Funk' on a hillside at a rave called Green, part of one of the most respected rave series in the North East USA, in 1995. I've been listening to dance music for 19 years. You are a moron.

It's moot, not mute, dip.

Done. Now shut the up.

LOL, I am showing you what they were doing in 1997 (10 years before there big coachella performance), who there audience consisted of.

1997 Audience

1997 Audience

Please show me Aqua's credible roots. I don't like much after Homework, but to say the two are on par is ridiculous. One More Time was very much intended to be a joke, and it just happened to sell bucket loads.

LOL at putting respected, Rave & USA in the same sentence that is so funny, most of America is "The Night At The Roxbury" of Electronic music, maybe we can get a egg with Brendan & find the warehouse where the party is at.

Tell me What is Dance music? Can you define that? Also what does Dance music have to do with the topic of electronic music we are discussing? Answer me this here did electronic music come from? & Is Daft Punk of that linage?

I have been listening to electronic, & other music for over 30 years, before you even knew about it, guess I have you beat on that  , & I am telling you that Daft Punk is not electronic music, they are akin to Barbie Girl.

I even showed you 2 songs that came out the same year, & how they both sound like Cheese Euro. If you disagree then show me some counter proof from 1997 the last time had a performance (probably because no one went to see cheese euro acts anymore)

Have you even listened to "Homework", I mean really listen to it, in its entirety. Front to back, over and over again.

Do that, tell me they were not:

1) Definitely electronic
2) Pioneers in a brand new sound
3) Way ahead of their time considering you could easily slip in Revolution 909 or Rollin' & Scratchin' into any new set now and it would still sound groundbreaking and amazing.

I know you're just either completely retarded, or trolling, but I will fight to the death before you tarnish and talk ill of Daft Punk.

I think I speak most people on the board that their recent stuff may have not been as amazing as their early works, or that maybe they're doing the cheesy electro stuff now and touring with novelty pyramids and helmets. But they in can, they have an extensive and masterful resume of productions and achievements.

As Armand Van Helden said in an interview, Daft Punk is the Led Zepplin of Electronic/House music.

Which is it? Their earlier material or their 1997 output? Choose an argument.

Since they are pioneers to you tell me what was the brand new sound? What was the name of it? Why would you say it is electronic music? How can they be pioneers in electronic music if electronic music exited before them?

They been doing cheesy music from time, not just lately, I showed you that they have been doing it for awhile. I know you are a big fan of "Around The World', just like many are of "Put Your Hands Up For Detroit", however that doesn't change the fact that Daft Punk is not electronic music, they are Urban French Disco House, to further prove that point there music is all sampled, in electronic music that means they have no talent if you sample.

LOL at AVH, AVH is one of the biggest thieves in music, he influences are Frech House like Stardust, listen to the song "You Dont Even Know Me" (BTW he stole that whole concept from a record in another genre) AVH isnt electronic music, he has never been in electronic music & he made the record "Barabra Streisand" & big bad wolf he cannot speak on electronic music ever.

Techno is black music from Michigan, it did not come from anywhere else. It is a sub genre of electronic music, but it is not electronic music. Electronic music was the influence to Techno, just like Electronic music influenced Synth Pop, Electro Funk, & many other genres.

I would love to go to a lecture of yours, and watch hundreds of people laugh at you.

Sure, electronic music existed before them, kraftwerk, disco, techno... they made a new sound, nu disco influence with electronic sounds creating music. Electronic Music.

AVH, yeah, he sampled, remixed and made it huge, wildly sucessful for many years.

And EVERYONE samples... the guy rocking out on a new punk track, sampled the riff from somewhere, but recomposed it probably to sound different.

I'd keep this up, but Miss Teen Canada can't put up a solid argument. If you're going to troll, you need to up your game. Otherwise you just need meds.
