Not recently. Same names, similar sets every time. I'm saving my monies and going to Amsterdam in August for trance. |

As far as the US...I just had a lovely time in Miami for WMC and Ultra's lineup was pretty stacked even though I didn't go.
DEMF has a sick lineup.
That's enough for me unless Zoo kicks out something decent. |

| Isn't zoo almost $400 this year?? That's just insane to me. I can't justify it anymore. |

| Has anyone been to other Insomniac events? Can someone explain to me why, at their last EDC, they had their volume turned up to deafening levels? It was difficult to even make a phone call from behind a concrete wall way across the field from the stages. It was hard to hear anything above the bass. The first day I went without earplugs I ended up leaving with a dull ringing in my ears. Has Insomniac addressed this at all or is this the norm for all Insomniac events? |

next to DEMF, see the Waveform?
Zoo is way pricey, but at least the Sunday school tent has (had) more than a handful of decent acts.
Slot-length? you just don;'t expect long ones at festivals.
Gimme tomorrow's Timewarp, or Sunday's NL-ASOT, or Dimensions, Melt!, or Vaeth's Raketnebasis Pydna, those are festivals...
wrong continent....
will have to check the 8/13 'dam thing |

Early bird GA was $320 this year, an increase of almost 50% from last year. Couldn't justify it either (though they did announce after the fact they have a second main stage). |

In all honesty, I used to get really excited for these festival line-ups. But with the price increases, hoopla and the delay in releasing line-ups, I'm starting to care less.
The festival experience is fun and all, and I guess people may think it's a deal with all of that talent in one roof. But, with ticket prices, food, drink, fun money for alcohol, etc. it just adds up to spending loads of money just to see 15-25 minutes of the couple of acts I really want to see between 10-15 minutes of walking through a massive crowd to get to each stage. I don't think that's a bargain.
Plus, EDC has a UK date this year now. I'd like to see how that pans out with a company like Imnsomniac trying to penetrate the already established overseas market. |
