Sounds like Lewandowski is leaving Dortmund as well. I don't think it has been officially announced where. A Bayern x Dortmund final is looking like how this will shape up, which is what I've been hoping for. After last year, I was hoping that Bayern make a come back this year to win but if they face Dortmund, I might have to cheer for Dortmund.
Maybe we should start an official ongoing soccer/football thread. :) |
:)
yup, FCB sucked up another one, they just announced it yesterday that Levandowski is going to Munich.
Poached nr 2 from BVB after Goetze.
I agree with you about Dortmund, but I have some relatives over there who are Schalke fans, so they would kill me if they heard me say it.
Schalke in soccer in Germany is like the Packers here with respect to fan base, support and all.
Not over yet, but nice to see the Spanish team getting it handed to them, esp. Madrid, because I just don't like the smugness |

| I was predicting that both Bayern and Dortmund would make it through the semis and meet each other in the final; I honestly wasn't expecting Dortmund to put the smack down on Real the way that they did the other day though. It wasn't that surprising to me for Bayern to do what they did to Barcelona though. Bayern's goal differential in the Bundesliga is around 70 I believe and that league is very good. They simply have the best defense with explosive offense. If they don't win this thing, I think it would be even more stunning then their loss last year. |

Tomorrow your gonna witness history my friend. Madrid's specialty is to overcome situations like that. HALA MADRID! |

quite possible, but Madrid is a team you just have to dislike, even if you respect them.
theres a whole lot more rooting against em than for em. |

If Kaka plays, they might have a better shot. He creates a lot of chances for himself and teammates when he's on the pitch. Unfortunately, he is overlooked a lot and I'd be very surprised if Mourinho went with him today.
Either way, this falls on the expectation that Dortmund doesn't score an away goal or two with the powerful offense that they have. |

Didn't get to watch, but from the times of the goals, looks like Madrid just couldn't get it going to overcome game one.
BVB goalie did a good job from what I see.
Barring some embarrassing thing at Barca, looks like BVB v FCB-M.
A little like a subway series: full excitement in Germany, the rest? |

What a great game! CarS, you should definitely watch a replay if you get the chance. There were a lot of goals that should have been made but didn't either because of good defense/goalie/or blown opportunity. Real Madrid rallied a little too late but it definitely increased the energy level a lot higher then where it already was.
Well deserved advancement by Dortmund. I won't be able to watch today's game but hopefully Barca can make it just as interesting. |

Yep, we saw Mourinho exiting the Spanish League without a Champions League Trophy. I think that is a good bit of history. |

holy cow, just went to the live ticket, Bayern winning 3:0, with only a few min left to play.
I would have expected at least one Barca goal over both games.
Barca actually got a goal, but poor Pique, was an own-goal... |
