Thanks for the support, yea we have been keeping our eye open for options but this is a good place for now, given the crazy bar guarantees asked for by some places... Wasn't gonna bring up the trance fans dont drink bit, but since Sam did haha, yeah trance fans dont seem to drink...

But you guys make an interesting point about the lighting, we can talk to Pacha... seems like thats a 'fixable' issue maybe make it a little dimmer.

i truly believe more people like pachita then do not...from what i hear...and if the lighting can be fixed i think youll only grow that number larger.

Its worth it to bring up the sound too...sometimes its just...um..overlooked (esp in a venue like that....they arent always playing edm and levels ect are set completely incorrectly)

I think it will be a long time before the crowd grows to a larger capacity allowing a logical move elsewhere...and i think that is fine...i think thats perfect. QUALITY over QUANTITY imho...and esscala is providing that, finally

-- only big complaint I have about the space is the damn couches, take up too much space.
who needs the bottle furniture anyway, want to sit, go to a movie...

--sound: the system could use a little room correction, would help a lot.

--almost feel guilty now seeing those drink comments above

-- great soundcloud link above
repeat after me: number 9, number 9...
I'd go for that one alone.
has anyone done outrospective around here at all? never heard.

I'm probably going to this. My brother is turning 21 and can finally start coming out to these events in NYC. Would be a good first start I think. :D

Our events at Pachita have all been 19+ recently...

seeing the comments above about the sound in Pachita:

it wasn't that bad at Solarstone on Sat. actually.

What I had never noticed before (prob. due to the music at past events), was the bleed-through from downstairs, felt as much as heard.

Only on quieter parts, but it does kind mess them up.
Not in an unbearable way, tbs.

Kind of the same unavoidable problem at Zoo, when tent-next-door stuff intrudes.

Nothing to keep one away, but was just a strange intrusion..

True about the bleeding noise from the floor below.. I was like wth is going on and then I remembered we were right above Pacha... But truthfully I only noticed it a couple of times. Maybe it depends on where you are in the room.

Sound could be better too, but I'm not gonna complain, it was good enough. I had loads of fun to the type of music I love and that counts to me the most.. When we can get to be picky again about who plays and where they play in NY then I'm gonna put my critic's hat on. Until then I will go to Solarstones, J00Fs and the likes wherever they will have'em.

Prob. right.
I first noticed it either very late into Solarstone or during James', and was just by the both around that time.
Hadn't noticed it back close to the bar.
How the heck to correlate place/time/music, dunno.

ditto.
If I want to see/hear someone, I can't think of a place that I find so atrocious (from whatever point of view), that I wouldn't go just because of the locale.
Even ASOT:
MSG itself wouldn't be that unacceptable, if the line-up had been worth-it and had more than 1h set depth per...
