Ahh, you guys meant hardhouse/hard trance. Gotcha.

Hardstyle is a relatively new genre(10 years now?)....

Scooter s been around since 93
yeah they also do related genres, but I put the "hard-"
further back than 2003....

I'm not saying hard genre's did not exist before 2003. I'm saying the genre that is known as hardstyle today wasn't born until the early 21st century. Could it be 2000/2001/2002? sure

I'm not using hardstyle as an all encompassing term for hard styles of music, i am only referring to the specific genre that The Prophet, Pavo etc helped to create.

I remember seeing Tiesto at Exit either in 01 or 02. I remember when he3 dropped silence and the whole place exploded. Exit had the snow machine and it was literally snowing inside right after the buildup.

This thread has seriously derailed, but here are a couple of tracks you would have heard back in the exit/tony draper heyday:

Bloomberg has more $ than God. I dont think a bag or two of cash can sway him.

Dont forget, this is Bloomberg's last year in office. Who knows who the next mayor will be. They may come out against having ezoo at Randall's island.

I see Ezoo becoming a smaller two day or single day event. I would be surprised if NYC re-newed their park permit. I can see them moving to someplace like citifield or maybe some large park in NJ.

i wouldnt be suprised if he had his hand in the cookie jar. guy made more money while being the mayor of nyc and he dont even get a sallary.

either way i saw an article in the paper about ezoo
it says for every ticket sold made event gives the nyc parks department $4.50
so each year its somewhere between $500,000 and $750,000
thats alot of money to be donated to the parks department
but i agree i think maybe next year they might downsize it and go back to 2 days or having very strict security
