well maybe I was wrong with my: good point! post, but that still doesn't change much about transa last night.
I'd give st.pete 8/10
transa 4/10 |

dude, once you grow up u will know
I just wanted to say
that when you dance it is nice to see some nice looking girl dancing next to you for better vibe, but not some kid - candy raver - who does not a about real music.....
|
If you wanna see nice looking girls dancing next to you, why don't you bring them WITH you next time...jeezz...what a buncha lame asses.
Crowd was alright, I haven't seen any outstanding kandi kidz there at all. And even if there were some - big fooken deal! Go to freaking clubs with dress codes if you got problems with kandi kids... At least most of those kiddos know how to dance...
Anyway...party was alright..by far not the best PH though. People were leaving early and there weren't too many there to start with. Not a bad turnout for a 19+ party though. Venue was kinda hot, would probably be hell in there if there were more people. It seemed a lot lighter in there after about 2AM and music wasn't as loud, so that sucked.
St.Pete was awesome...perfect set for a PH party. Would be great to see him again on a PH party.
Transa - I expected MUCH more. Pretty disappointing.
Marshall&Prophecy...good set, but most of those tracks are overplayed on PH parties...Gotta add something new! I mean, all those tracks are sweet, but hell...isn't there anything else out there?
Props to PH crew that made it down there. |

| mecha u have it the wrong way, the kandi kids know the music, the "hot" girls are just there because hot girls go to clubs. |

Are you a ing MORON? :eyespop: How dare you bash one of Toronto's most promising producers and DJ's?? I suggest you shut the up because you have no idea what you're talking about. First off, St.Pete has been spining Epic Trance since I first met him back in 1998, he somewhat shifted towards a more progressive sound over the last year just like most DJ's around the world did, i.e Tiesto.
Second St.Pete got signed to Perfecto records not because of his epic trance, but because of MACH 747 which is a drum & bass/break beat act with some trancey elements.
I apologize if I'm coming off a bit harsh, but I can't stand when people bash DJ's, let alone a DJ who is a personal friend of mine. |

| We(Durafei, Alex, and myself) came around 11:40. When hearing some dark banging beats I was anxious to get in inside. Saint Pete was playing at the time, and never hearing him play live before I quickly began to enjoy his set. His mixing was flawless more or less and all of the tracks that he spun were dance worthy. He played a very energetic set with a lot of melody and uplifting elements in the set. Transa were bad I admit. However, Transa did play a few good tracks. Marshal and Prophecy were amazing :). It looked like they had a dj battle and they spun some kick as tracks like Urban Train, and Masterpiece of Emotion. I danced all night, and I fell in to a trance listening to some of the melodic/uplifting tracks that were played. We left at around 4:30 am and that’s because Durafei and Alex wanted to leave, and I didn’t want to go back by myself. Overall, this party was amazing; I met some of the Russian TAs, and enjoyed listening to melodic, uplifting and banging trance that was spun. It was definitely worth my 20 bucks. ^_^ |

Oh man, I hate when trance gets played in toronto. You know we get so much of it, its sickens me when St. Pete throws out tracks like rapid eye-circa forever, minimalistix-close cover, rank 1 awakenings. Those are such crappy make you feel good tunes, I mean who wants to have their hands raised in the air feeling so happy and free and dancing your ass off, instead of standing around bitchin.
Bitchin about everything is so much better, its what makes us stupid human beings.
*end sarcasm here.
We hardly get to hear trance, enjoy the night, transa did suck, but was interesting to watch, st. pete plays the trance I wanna hear so kicked ass for me, and prophecy threw on push-strange world and that was worth 20$ alone.
Thanks to the people who made it fun..sooper, jdamage, tatgirl, Durafei (thanks for listening man, I appreciate it.), mecha, and whoever else I spoke to.
peace out |

i liked st. pete...i thought he opened well while actually outdoing transa-
transa dissapointed me cuz all their beats were pre synth and they just played a few notes with them...while runnin around taking pictures and being the goofy chubby scots that they are...lol
marshal and prophecy are always decent
i talked to the guy on the right after he was done (transa) and he said that there was a lot of confusion with their set length...and that they only do 1hr sets cuz they are a "live band" hahaha
did anyone see that fine fine fine girl in the tight white pants and the white cut top??? damn!:happy2: :happy2: :happy2: |
