Hey all...I would just like to say thank you to those who did come out and party with us on Friday...I for one, did have a good time and had sooo much fun playin music for you. In reading this revue, I can see that there are some people who didnt have such a good time. I will agree that Transa wasnt everything we expected but, you have to make the best in everything right, The music that we did hear from them was quite good...Now, everyone is entitled to their opinions, and those opinions can be read here...But, I did read some bashing and thats not cool.... Pete is a good friend of mine and I do take offence to someone bashin him...Sorry Pete for these people. PH put out a real effort to provide a quality TRANCE event, and in my opinion delivered top notch music. Maybee if the people who wanted trance events in the city came out when the trance events happened then these revues might have been diferent....All in all, not the best PH but a PH nevertheless and Thanx again.

It was an awesome event! :D And your set was amazing! :) When you and Marshal were spinning I was dancing my ass off. I'm glad that you enjoyed playing music for us. I wasn't able to thank you in person, because we had to leave at 4:30. Nonetheless, here is a big THANK YOU for coming out and playing some really awesome trance that night! :D

Agreed :)

I do not have any problem with your "opinion". I do have a problem with you stating things as fact that are simply not true. You seem to be pretty busy responding to all the people who got upset with your remarks.... does that not tell you anything?? If you thought the party sucked, then fine, no one cares. However, people do care about you making off colour comments about other people that are simply not true.

I'm not going to go out of my way to meet up with the likes of you. If you truely want to come and meet me, feel free. I'm at Klinik every Friday... come early.

Well Trancearmada and Emaster are very good friends of mine too, so back to your point if you are bashing them, I have a big problem with you then too...... Trancearmada said what he heard about Saint Pete and btw his set was pure cheesee... ask him why did he suddenly changed from progressive into trance......?????????

Just outta curiosity.. I'm wondering if it's actually possible for someone to be sued for libel or slander on a messageboard. I'm not directing my comments here to any particular individuals or anything since something like this can be attributed to more than one situation and more than one party review. I totally agree that everyone has a right to their own opinion but is there a line that can't actually be crossed?

(TranceArmada, I know you might think I'm referring to you but seriously I'm not.. this question could be addressed at any party review where there is a high level of subjectivity so please don't take it the wrong way.)

li·bel Pronunciation Key (lbl)
n.

1. a. A false publication, as in writing, print, signs, or pictures, that damages a person's reputation.
b. The act of presenting such material to the public.

2. The written claims presented by a plaintiff in an action at admiralty law or to an ecclesiastical court.

3. (Law) A malicious publication expressed either in print or in writing, or by pictures, effigies, or other signs, tending to expose another to public hatred, contempt, or ridicule. Such publication is indictable at common law.

Note: The term, in a more extended sense, includes the publication of such writings, pictures, and the like, as are of a blasphemous, treasonable, seditious, or obscene character. These also are indictable at common law.

4. (Law) The crime of issuing a malicious defamatory publication.

\Li"bel\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Libeled (-b[e^]ld) or Libelled; p. pr. & vb. n. Libeling or Libelling.] 1. To defame, or expose to public hatred, contempt, or ridicule, by a writing, picture, sign, etc.; to lampoon.

Some wicked wits have libeled all the fair. --Pope.

I think it's very easy to forget sometimes how many people actually read messageboard posts like this without actually posting themselves. We all need to remember that accusing someone of something based on hearsay without any hard evidence can be dangerous. I think It's alright to disclose displeasure at someone's music but accusing a DJ or promoter of something that is not 100% proven or beyond reasonable doubt could potentially be very damaging to their reputations. "I didn't count how many people were in the Guvernment complex at the time of Labour of Love.. but I can claim beyond any reasonable doubt that it was so crowded, if a fire broke out inside people would have died without question." A statement like this could likely be vouched by many patrons at the club whereas something like: "I could swear 90% of the people inside were high on E." is way too subjective.

So anyways the purpose of my post is basically to say that there isn't anything wrong with expressing an opinion about a party but there's a fine line between what someone thought of a party and what someone claims an ie. promoter/DJ/club/patrons/etc. does.

sorry for the long post and sorry if i 'offend' anyone by writing this.. i'm not here to make enemies only to share my opinions as well and maybe give others another perspective at things..

I don't think Desidel has gone too far with this at all..

Talking trash about a company and hurting their reputation is just as bad, if not worse than putting a rock through companies window..

We must all realize that message boards are not just message boards anymore. They are a method of communication, therefore laws do apply in here.

Good post Desidel.

What about your freedom of speech?
Or it is all about big company names and propaganda that you are reading on their ofiicial sites.

And also are you trying to apply laws on the Internet as well?

good luck, dude
and I am not the person to arguing with......

think about it

you have to prove libel against an individual or company...you can't prove that a person was using a computer at one given time unless of course the person is vidiotaping themselves and gives u the tapes...but thats just silly

swamper, can't you just delete all the bs on here so we can talk about transa and such

you guys have nothing better to do than to fight on here? go poke a dead squirrel or something...

sigh....

Your capacity for idiocy is infinite. This is the last time I respond to one of your posts as talking with you is obviously pointless. I hope you work your problems out and grow up soon, so that you may begin to enjoy what others around you offer. I haven't "backed out" of anything. Like I said, I can by found at Klinik every Friday and other than that, I'm not downtown often. Come early and we can chat. Hell, I'll even buy you a drink but I'm only extending this offer because I said I would. I really do not wish to speak with you. Private message me and I'll put you on the list.... along with your friends if you like..... sheesh.
