Things would be better if you weren't using the date you joined the forums as a form of 'status' over others opinions. Who cares if they are a 'newbie' - what they think is just as valid as what you may think - just because they signed up later than you did doesn't mean they weren't on the board prior OR listening to trance, etc.

Defense Mechanisms displayed by a certain individual:
DISPLACEMENT: involves channeling our impulses to nonthreatening objects. For example, as the result of not getting laid for about 20 years a man might carry around a great deal of unconcious anger. PROJECTION: Sometimes we attribute an unconcious impulse to other people instead of ourselves. By projecting the impulse onto another person, we free ourselves from the perception that we are the one who actually holds this thought. "dude, I tried but there are just too many heads on this board." No you're the head, head.

If it's one thing I've learned about a digital median; talking and venting in the heat of the moment is one thing, an email (or post) LASTS and can do a lot more harm than good (especially in a business capacity).
The reciever of a 'blast' can accept the fact that the person hitting the [ENTER] button is just having a rough time or they can take it to heart.
Either way, hiding behind a keyboard doesn't cut it when someone has something they really want to say (IMHO).
I guess what I'm trying to say is that when you tranlate those little 0s and 1s on your monitor and it's striking your chords, take a step back, turn off the computer.
Then come back later and thing about what how your going to reply before hitting the [ENTER] button yourself.
Do you really want to create a cyclic vortex?

| oooooook....... I don't know about you guys but this is way out of hand here. I think everone misudnerstands. All that TranceArmada started out with was a simple opinion about and event that he purchased access for. this makes him a consumer, meaning he is legally allowed to give his opnion on an event he payed for. TranceArmada did not get his money's worth. That pretty much sums up what his first post of this thread was. next thing someone calls ppl names. Why? What? Only cause you don't liek what he said about the event does not give the right to call him (or anyone else with the same opinion) a name or to be sworn at. and now it is back to the whole swamper vs. TranceArmada issue. There is a lot of misunderstanding going on. But come on! This has gone way too far. |

Hey all...I would just like to say thank you to those who did come out and party with us on Friday...I for one, did have a good time and had sooo much fun playin music for you. In reading this revue, I can see that there are some people who didnt have such a good time. I will agree that Transa wasnt everything we expected but, you have to make the best in everything right, The music that we did hear from them was quite good...Now, everyone is entitled to their opinions, and those opinions can be read here...But, I did read some bashing and thats not cool.... Pete is a good friend of mine and I do take offence to someone bashin him...Sorry Pete for these people. PH put out a real effort to provide a quality TRANCE event, and in my opinion delivered top notch music. Maybee if the people who wanted trance events in the city came out when the trance events happened then these revues might have been diferent....All in all, not the best PH but a PH nevertheless and Thanx again.

I didn't have a problem with his review of the night he is entitled to his opinions. What I had a problem with was that he was bashing St.Pete, and I felt I needed to correct his statements before some nasty rumour gets spread that Pete is some greedy money hungry sell out. |
