Deep Dish is coming.
The pioneering house music duo, Deep Dish, made up of Ali "Dubfire" Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi (simply known as Sharam), are on the verge of getting back together. Similarly to OutKast, this resurrection of the DJ duo has been long-awaited among loyal members of the dance music community.
In 2006, Deep Dish split to pursue solo careers after years remixing tunes as a tag-team for superstars such as Cher, Madonna and Janet Jackson, to name a few; they even snagged a Grammy for Best Remixed Recording for their edit of Dido's "Thank You." After months (and in some circles, years) of speculation and rumors, today a clock counting down has appeared on DeepDish.com.
While Deep Dish is keeping this mysterious countdown under wraps for now, one thing is clear, the eight-year wait for Deep Dish to emerge as a duo once again is near.
Stay tuned...

Yep. The music is different now, it just won't be the same, Deep Dish or no Deep Dish. And they've both been absolute as individuals these last 2-3 years, so why would they be any good together. I ing hate how there's people going crazy over this news, move the on and discover some of the incredible talent that emerged in the last few years, which you probably know nothing about. |

ali has been KILLING it for minus/enter for over 2 years now his sound is probably more distinct than richie hawtin or anyone else on the minus/enter team. with the exception of Carl Cox's Revolution and CLR/Drumcode, Enter is probably the 2nd biggest party in Ibiza (outside of the tourist trap music guetta/shm/avicii)
-edit- pulled from another thread
Here's SHARAM at BPM, that lovely deep dark minimal w/the occasional house vocal blends (AKA DEEP DISH SOUND)

:stongue: Boy, that's saying A LOT. :stongue:
Richie Hawtin's sound is about as distinct as the 3rd shelf of the toilet paper section in the grocery store. |

name one dj that can replicate richie's drums in a minimal techno way, this coming from a plastikman background...then again i figure trance heads would respond this way they always seek the BUILD UP AND DROP THE BASS BRO |
