Nrg2Nfinit,

Is there a website you'll be posting the completed list of rip-offs on? Or a thread here at TA?

Also, it would be a big venture, but wouldn't it be cool to make a site with the relevant audio files beside the tracks in question? :)

* Poor Quench. All the fame went to Lost Tribe for this cool melody, written five years earlier.

Lost Tribe - Gamemaster was 1997. Released on "The Distant Voices EP" on Hooj in August 1997.

Both tunes are amazing!!

I don't know where you see it?

Some more similar choonz:
Humate - Love Stimulation &
Yahel - Sugar 1

New Order - Confusion [Pump Panel Reconstruction Mix] &
Aquagen - Phatt Bass

Corrections
- Tilt - Invisible & Tilt - Rendezvous are different names for the same song. Tilt decided to change the name for some reason.
- Secondly if anyone is ripping anyone, Tranquility Base ripped off of Tilt. Rendezvous was released in 1999 whereas Razorfish was released in 2001.
-William Orbit - Barber's Adagio (Ferry Corsten Mix)
Skip Raiders ft. Jada - Another Day
I don't agree on this one. They are using the same sample, but it doesn't mean it's the same song because they progress in totally different directions.

Side Note
Does using the same synth means they are ripping someone off? I doubt that all the knobs are the same. Gwill Morris and James Holden sound alike, but we don't say they are ripping each other off. Maybe we need to clarify on this issue.
offbeatbassline
To add to Angelick's point, the JP-8000 synthesizer is used in countless tunes. So hearing a simliar synth is not grounds for a rip-off.

However...

This does not let certain tracks off the hook. For example, "4 Strings - Daytime" and "The Mystery - The Mystery" clearly cash in on the most acoustically enjoyable notes from "Rank 1 - Airwave."
