most of these are just so ludicrous. you hear some of the same notes in two different songs and say "Ohh ripoff"
off already. plan 94 doesn't sound like clocks. they have some similar notes (plan 94 isn't even centered around them, clocks is) in a different arrangement. A DIFFERENT ARRANGEMENT. that means there is no ripoff of melody. they used the same ing instrument or something.
get lives. 95% of the matches here are completely bull. human evolution & airwave? give me a ing break |

Both those tunes are covers of Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence so it's natural they'd sound the same...

Not everyone is saying "Ohh ripoff". You're missing the point. It's fun to find tracks that sound like others, whether it be a similar melody or just the same samples. And take a listen to Human Evolution. The huge sweeping synth in the breakdown is very Airwave-esque. |

i personally think that yes airwave and human evolution are not that similar.. but most of hte tunes on the lists have a very distinguishable similiarity to other tunes.. and really its not about who ripped off who its just a matter of intrest for anyone who cares
obviously a various amount of people do care hence why they are adding to it
I also found that frank E and mars L - rotate has a similar melody sample to luna system the light
anyone catch this as well? |

children and flamming june are not that similar of tunes.. the synth or piano used sounds a bit like the piano used in the other song
pvd remixed both of those songs so obviously its going to have his sound to it
tracks done by different producers would be something to note in this thread tho :D |

Lost Tribe - Angel (Off The Distant Voices EP)
BT - Flaming June (Chicane Remix)
They both have the same baseline in part (Flaming June simply sounds more pitched up), that is until Flaming June drops out of the breakbeat like intro and drops into the timeless classic synth and baseline :)
Both of which were released in 1997. I know the Distant Voices EP was released in the latter part of the year (around September), can't remember about Flaming June but I do remember picking up a copy of it just before mid year... |
