The description checks out, but that's a very abridged version. My life is usually pretty ordinary too, with very few cocktails, Molotov or otherwise.

"Race setting"? As in, we don't have preludes to/full blown race war?

I think he's talking about competitions, as if you're always about to run a marathon, sail the world or, given the low temperatures, sail a marathon.

Lol What a mess. I love it. "My life is pretty mundane compared to your lives, OMG you guys are so cool!!"

Every year on August 11/12/13 (actually it starts in July but it peaks at this time) Earth passes through the comet Swift Tuttle's meteor trail - known as the Perseid shower. I live right near a small unused airport away from lots of light pollution, and ever since my friends and I learned of the yearly meteor shower, we have been heading to the airport to lay on the tarmac and watch in awe as the meteors burn up.

Anyway, this year as my buddy and I enjoyed the meteors, I realized that there are probably many people nowadays who have never (or nearly never, at least as an adult) bothered gazing up at the night sky. Something so wondrous and ever present to enjoy, and imagine that some have never done it.

I guess that's relevant to this discussion.

That's hot

Bet RANN worked a quick five year stint as an astronomer and knows three times as much about looking up at the night sky as you do.
wotyzoid
What?

Edit: is that a DJ rann burn? 20 years would have been the better build up.
JEO
Not you.
wotyzoid
I got it now lol
