I'm headed to Detroit this Sunday for the inaugural party weekend of the summer, Movement! It's the BEST way to kick off summer, but then also leaves such a huge party crush hole when it's over...it's as if we're just chasing the same feels by going to every other party the rest of the year following.

Anyway. The weather forecast is killer and I'm really looking forward to the drive. My favourite road trip!

Sounds dope. I'd love to do Movement in Detroit over a sunny weekend. Hope it was all good. Need details!

Must be the full moon... Twitch recommended me a stream playing 80s music and I went in there and recognized the name right away! One of the few DJs I heard play Trance at raves before TA

Kimball Collins! What are the ing odds!? :wtf:

For the first time since I returned from Korea, I've finally been able to set up my toys, connect all the cables, and light up the brothership (referring to my music gear that resembles an alien UFO and will hopefully be used to create brostep and other sophisticated music for partying frat boys who enjoy glue-sniffing among other refined activities). Now, I can finally join the ranks of middle-aged men whose walls are adorned with racks and banks of synthesizers and drum machines, streaming mundane music over YouTube with mere seconds' worth of views, possibly from distracted clickers who mistook the music gear for Christmas decorations. I should probably put a Christmas hat on my audio interface to match the yuletide screechings.

Also, I'm now prepared for a potential face-off with Sasha and his fancy Airdrawndagger music if he ever overhears me knocking it. If he dares to challenge me with his tales of fans lighting his cigar in sweaty clubs, I can meet his gaze and his piercing blue eyes with unshakable confidence and reveal my magnum opus: the mystical revelation that when I press the elusive F#2 key on my MIDI controller, thanks to the pathetic acoustics of my studio, no one can hear it if it's producing just a sine wave. And by that, I mean no one except the downstairs neighbour's dog, for whatever reason. Sasha may be dumbfounded, but not I! Behold, for I have discovered the secret power of becoming a true whisperer to the mongrels of the world... bark on, my children. Bark with all your might, for tonight you will feast on Rudolph's flesh... or something. That's the best I can do for now.

I've been wrestling with an annoying bout of plantar fascitis the last 3 months or so. It hurts after I run but then is largely manageable during the week. I've got some insoles with steeper arches and I try to keep up with the exercises but it just doesn't help a lot. I hate it! :whip:

And how will you treat it? Does it go away if you take a break from running at elite level?

My injuries aren't nearly as painful as I think yours is, but I should be getting under the knife real soon to treat a stener lesion (aka missed thumb twist) and a morton's neuroma (aka mangled toe tangle). I've had the neuroma for a decade now, and it's much better than in the beginning, when I'd feel the pinch and the whole foot would go numb. Now I can even run on a treadmill, but depending on how my foot lands, I still feel like I was tased by a very angry ant. The thumb also doesn't bug me much unless someone greets me with a knuckle-cracking handshake or if I have to open a jar.

But, you know, the surgery may come in handy if I ever need to run from the other reindeers and get on down with Santa on a fist fight.

So spoiled with the French wines I've been enjoying lately. Also got a couple gigs this summer here which is dope. Breezy business.

Jack is still much better though. Wish I could hear him live.

I need to stop going out until this hard house / hard trance thing in techno sets is behind us.

Vacationing in the Alps for the next month. Staying in Morzine. It's so damn beautiful here, . The views, food, drink and vibe are sublime. Got a great deal on a chalet. Feel very fortunate. My boy has lived such a better life than I did at his age. Hopefully that means I'm doing something right. Anyway, Happy Friday freaks. Cheers!

We're in Dublin for the week. Beautifully rainy and cold. Much better than hot and humid!

Oh it's absolutely pissing it down on our miserable huddle of grey and cloudy islands. Has been all month. I went for a ten mile run this afternoon and got so wet I was having to wring my shirt out while I was still running in it. Nipples are chafed as hell now. But when seemingly the entire rest of the northern hemisphere is currently on fire, I'm not complaining too much. Our famously awful weather might actually be a godsend if the climate emergency keeps progressing at its current pace.

Heading to Newfoundland this weekend for a week. First time on the east coast.
