how do you know PVD cancelled it? my TR cancelled it because they can't afford to have half the expected crowd to show up. PVD isn't a cheap dj to book, I'm amazed viva can even afford him period. and with the recent media hype about SARS (which is complete bull...) people are scared to ride the bus, goto the mall and obviously go to clubs. That would dent TR/viva ticket sales quite a bit, especially because of its geographic location and the 'blame' being put on Asians.
and about SARS...it has been blown so ing out of proportion. Yes it is a serious virus, and there is no "cure". Keep in mind there is no cure for the common cold either, are you scared of getting a cold?
anyways, just wait until TR makes an announcement about it and stop assuming that PVD is selling out. |

well ticket sales have been doin well....inspite of the SARS scare from what i know

wtf. you guys surprise me sometimes, I swear.
pvd is coming to Toronto, wha 10 threads hyping it and so. now, he decides to re-schedule the event (due to whatever reason) and pvd is an ass, he sucks, etc. wtf is this??? you people need to think better sometimes. it is rather stupid to read some of these posts. geez!

| damn right....leafs make conference finals....NOT GOOD ENOUGH....it's toronto...we expect the best. Toronto ppl like myself are extremely disappointed about this because he tore the koolhaus apart in feb 01 and then destroyed the place in oct 01 and has seemed to ditch toronto since then and he plays new york a bunch of times, miami a bunch of times and even montreal a bunch of times but toronto then we hear he will play, we get excited remembering his past performances but then he cancels it's like someone twisting the dagger in the heart because we get all geared up then slapped in the face. He will come back but then again toronto ppl don't care. |

Please kids, grow up... I mean, just because you haven't seen PVD for a while, doesn't mean you've missed out on a lot! Like there aren't thousdands of other great parties in this city every freakin' week that you could attend, and hundreds of other DJs just as good...

Seriously, you people need to chill. I'm expecting the rescheduled date to be soon; as in May/June. I doubt TR would book him in the summer cause he's a lot harder to get then (Ibiza residencies, trance festivals, etc). Personally I think this is a good thing in a way; in may/june most of us will be done with exams and won't have to worry about school getting in the way of this party. And the risk of catching SARS will be a lot lower. Yea, all the people might've been quarintined, but what if one person wasn't and they happen to end up at VIVA that night??
And like I said before, and others that repeated what I said; PvD doesn't wanna risk all his following gigs just so he can please a bunch of stuck up, snobby Torontonians.
Chillout, and wait for the new date. Many of you think it might be, but this isn't the end of the world.
Oh, and TT; why are you comparing PvD to John Digweed? How do you know Digweed wouldn't cancel?? |

I agree with fantom on the point that we have plenty of awesome djs coming in here year round. Lets hope Armin and co. don't cancel out on the 17th - I don't think they will but keep yer fingers crossed anyway!
PVD is not the end all and be all and besides I'm sure he'll have a make-up date sometime this year. In the meantime we have plenty to look forward to. This should get cleared up b4 Tiesto in June (I hope). |
