(There's plenty of non-vocal stuff still out there, by the way. Indigo and Signum - Cosmo, for example. It's not as catastrophic as you seem to make it sound.) |

beatz - how can you say that the quality of trance releases nowadays is lower - once again, it's all about opinion. In your opinion the quality is lower, but what about everyone elses opinion, some people might be pleased with what's being released.
Why do u need to preach to everyone, some people like certain music, other people like other music, that doesnt mean the music you listen to is neccesarily better of of a high class.
And on another note, who are any of us to condemn a whole genre into being .

Vocal Trance can't give u true trance feelings.people should NOT be excited about the messages.yeah it's nice when there are cool messages like the ones in *as the rush comes*...but it's even 10 times better if there is a hypnotic mellow ... support REAL TRANCE and fight the rest !!!!
Hope there are many people who think it like me.I'm into electronic music since 91 + I really think that pure Trance can give us the highest inspiration...but since 2001 i think many things have gone worse !!!

but we can try to save true uplifting emotions.maybe the vocal stuff is just a trend...but IMHO it's a VERY DANGEROUS TREND for the entire trance scene !!!
look at l-vee or mike >> they never make cheap vocal stuff >> THESE ARE REAL TRANCE GODS !!
If there is an anti-cheese alliance...i would be the first to create an anti-vocal alliance !!!
I hope at least a few of the so-called *tranceaddicts* :D out there are of the same opinion !! |

I totally disagree with this post, and I'm not gonna waste my breath. But what I will say is that if I never heard Delerium - Silence (Dj Tiesto Remix) live, in a crowd of 20,000 people in the middle of it all, rolling my balls off 3 years ago, singing along with Sarah Maclachlan, I prolly wouldn't be as much into trance as I am now. There are too many good vocals to name, but yes there are some bad, and it shouldn't be singled out as "ALL vocal should die"!

yes love shines through is a good track but there are 100's of amazing vocal tracks out there...

for whatever its worth this is my opinion on the matter
mainstream music is all about vocals and signing and blah, blah, blah.
'underground' music has always been about the music, not the signing or the vocals... they take away from what the music is supposed to be about. vocals have an influence on people's mood associated with the track which takes away from the musical meaning. now vocals that compliment the music are great but it doesn't always happen...
i'm really tired and this isn't makin much sense... oh well. back to studying. |
