STOP SUPPORTING Vocal Trance !!! (pg. 7)

I think trance tracks work very well with 'minor' vocals. Some tracks just over do it. However,,, more often then not I would agree that vocals sometimes ruin the song. But to say stop supporting vocal just makes you look dumb.
One example where a track is far better off with out the vocal is Time Is The Healer (Armin dub mix). just my opinion though. |

vocal trance misses out on the underground flavour i reckon , sounds nice though. Vocals tell u wat to think basically no vocals lets u think for yourself. just my opinion so dont burn me.

of course i let people listen to what they like...but i just wanted 2 show my point of view.i'm just trying not to be influenced by the hype...essential electronic dance music DOESN'T NEED CHEESY VOCALS -- or do you really want 2 see your favortie trance-dj @ top of the pops ??????? --- that's the way trance music is *evolving*....sad but true...:( |
So more and more people listening to trance make it ?
And I don't see any of my favourite trance DJs on top in the charts :/
IMO its only the ty new commercial vocaly trance (whatever you want to call it) that are in the charts, the proper trance producers are staying where they are.
And I agree with evry m0f0 that said let us listen to what we want :whip: |

I agree w/that. And as in any type of music, there will always be a lot of e to wade through before you find a gem- but doesn't that make finding it that much better?
There are some great vocal trance tunes, and I wouldn't sacrifice them to prevent all the crap from being made. I just choose not to listen to it.:) |

| I agree most times vocals will kill a track but there are those rare times when true talent shows through and it all comes together. I think the fault in trance vocals lies in the lyrics and the person singing it. |

please spell it correctly, it's 'innocente' (a small petty point i know but as i am a dedicated delerium addict, i like to see it spelt correctly)
so what about,
The Thrillseekers feat Sheryl Deane - Synaesthesia (fly away)
that's defo a track that Steve Helstrip added vocals to and it's mint.
I myself am a self confessed Vocal Trance fan, there is of course a lot of crap out there (imo stuff like dj sammy - heaven, lasgo, flip 'n' fill etc) but on the whole the feeling that a beautiful female voice on an emotional uplifting track is the spirit of real trance to me.
i think that each genre has its own merits, for example there is no way i could imagine xpander with lyrics, that would totally kill that track but i could also not imagine Delerium's Silence without Sarah's incredibly haunting and emotional vocals over it.

True, but you can find a DUB of that BUT you forgot Dreaming of You by Thrillseekers...i dont think there is a DUB for that...SOOO why isnt this song Crap Vocal Trance...
The problem with people these days are that they look at the name first rather than listening to the song beforehand...
Imagine BT was involved with Lasgo - Something...do you actually think the response of the people towards this would have been the same..NOPE.
Its just a matter of principal to look at the quality rather than judging it because of the name and vocals. |
