didn't we go over this in the 80's when people made synthpop and all the newage & electronic dance geeks dissed it as being too commercial cause it got radio play. If people want to make pop music with a 140 or so BPM, a driving 4/4 kick, & some wierd synth effects I say let them. Besides trance vocals are better than any other style vocals out there ATM. |

| all the trance that have vocals is crap. stop putting vocals in any electronic music. its made for the clubs so you can dance your ass of the great music. dont need any vocals to disturb you. you want to listen to something with vocals get some ty rock or pop. |

Vocal Trance can't give u true trance feelings.people should NOT be excited about the messages.yeah it's nice when there are cool messages like the ones in *as the rush comes*...but it's even 10 times better if there is a hypnotic mellow ... support REAL TRANCE and fight the rest !!!!
Hope there are many people who think it like me.I'm into electronic music since 91 + I really think that pure Trance can give us the highest inspiration...but since 2001 i think many things have gone worse !!!

look at l-vee or mike >> they never make cheap vocal stuff >> THESE ARE REAL TRANCE GODS !!

I agree to a lesser extent and disagree. I mean on one hand most vocal trance is garbage, I mean it cheapens the song IMO, if they were so great there wouldnt be dub versions, on the other hand how can u discount people like Jan Johnston, Amoeba Assasin, That girl who sings for Andain (I dont know her real name obviously so please dont flame), those vocals are great. I mean you dont have to fight nething just dont listen, listen to what you want others will listen to what they want, this isnt recycling, one person doesnt make a difference, people like what they like end of story. |

it seems that TA's today lack the ability to read properly now.
1) his thread title does not state ALL vocal trance suck.
2) he already said right in that FIRST post that there are exceptions and even listed some of those examples
3) TA has become a flame-mongering place now
for those that are listing the names of all kinds of trance tunes. what point are you trying to make? he already know about the existence of good vocal trance tunes. its not like the guy didn't realize there was good vocal trance to begin with. he's atleast listed BT (which puts jan johnston in the mix) and andain (mavie marcos). i'm sure he can acknowledge a few more good vocalists as well.
for that matter, for every good vocal tune you can list, i can easily list a few tunes that were butchered because of vocals and no, this is not about mixing cheese and vocals up.
his idea of boycotting vocal trance in general is a little absurd, but really now, is there a necessity for a 5 page flaming of his ass with lame overused pictures and smilies? |

Vocal Trance mostly is cheesy trance, or 'pop'. Stuff you can find high in the charts.

How does this make any difference to any of the things that he has posted?
I'd just like to get something straight - there are a lot of vocal trance tunes that you like - some that you love - but you'd sacrifice them for some strange moral anti-commercialism crusade your on. Why? Why not just ignore the trance you don't like, and listen to what you do like, and stop moaning.
