Well........
1) The reason he is an amazing dj isn't b/c he throw's down 1 Sick set for you on any paticular night, its because he is consistent.
2) yes he ed up big time by walking off and ruined your night but that doesn't make him a loser. Why would he want to spin on ty equitment.
point= Do not judge us human beings on what we've done in the moment

|
1) PVD got more than 25,000 USD for that gig
2) He was supposed to spin for 3.5 hours, only played 2
3) He started 1 hour late after just hanging around the dj booth for nearly 45 minutes
4) Equipment wasn't ty, all top DJs have played at Aria and nobody had any problems whatsoever.
All that makes him a loser. And in any case, even if it was the problem with the equipment, he can't just walk away without fulfilling his contract. Do you just walk away from your job if you don't like it?? |

I didn't judge him based on his set, actually his set was awesome before the incident. I'm judging him according to his ty personnality.

He didn't ruin my night actually, I enjoyed my night very much thank you, the residents saved the night. He may ruined the night to all those people who came to see him and payed 65$ for a 3.5 hours set (almost 20$ an hour each) and got screwed. And then when he finished he just rushed out of the place not shaking hands, signing authographs, etc...
and all this because of his scratched cd:rolleyes: |

| BTW, I still thought that the 2 hour set that he played was the best trance set i've ever heard in my life. So I still think he's one of the best DJs out there.. I just lost all my respect for him as a person.. but then again what does he care? DJs can do anything... After all, I'd still pay $50 to see him. |

The fact is, pvd doesnt give a about the scratched cd. He cares about whats coming out of the speakers. Not everyone is a DJ and would know anything about the equipment or that its just a cd thats in up. If i was a newbie in the club and heard a bunch of on the speakers, i would think the DJ sucks.
bottom line is, the average club goer doesnt understand the technicality or the skill it takes to dj. . . .so when they hear some on the speakers. . .theyll prolly say "how hard is it to play two in records" and they wont come back to see pvd play again. |

whats your point?
I understand what you mean, but considering people paid 65$ to see PVD it means they fully know who's spinning and know the talent behind the man. What they'll remember is that they got ripped off by PVD because he played less than what he was supposed to. I know its only a scratched cd, but he's a pro, a super star, these little things shouldn't get to him like it did. |

it depends whos fault it was. Was it a scratched cd, or was the cd player bad. did you ask pvd about what really happened? |

I could imagine that after the "Ultra-dilemma" PvD is more careful to check his CD-R's for scratches, wouldn't u think so? |

it was a scratched cd, but even if its PVDs fault, it really doesn't matter, happens all the time. No one would be mad at him for cd skippage, me the first. The problem remains how he reacted afterward that's the problem.
and here I did the impossible and got the part where the cd skips.
The cd skips 4 times then Paul put another tune with no mixing.

and for Caryn who said its alibi-eternity and it played nice in NYC, well its not that song ;) |
