i had a pretty great time too i must say, mostly thanks to people around me last night ;)...
stayed in KH for pretty much the whole night, where lalwer was ripping it up (why did he have just a 3 hour set :conf:??)!! dude before him was reallllly boring though, put me to sleep... and i didn't care much for AVB either, i was hoping he would move away from his signature anthem dropping, but nah... ugh... why have all his sets here in toronto been the same? has this guy no imagination at all?
anyways, checked out orange room for a bit, the atmosphere there was wild, but i couldn't get into d'n'b/jungle :/... met some TAs there though, englesswave and desidel? actually i met a lot of TAs yesterday, can't remember all of your names right now though :)
Lawler 10/10
AVB 2.5/10
Atmosphere 8/10
Women 10/10 (I love B&H sponsored events :happy2: )
ok and now back to the chillout marathon currently in progress... |

But, through much persistence, torontotrncelvr convinced me to try this kind of party. I'm so glad he made me go. Words can't begin to desribe what I felt tonight and what I'm feeling right now. As I sit here and bop my head to more AVB on his computer - I just want to say thank you to torontotrncelvr for exposing me to the most amazing time I ever had. Love you man!
I just hope I can remember those two girls' numbers ;)
Shout outs to sooper, hansolo, paco!

ok holy religious experience???? It was all e until Armin came on. It was terrible, the vibe, it was a total sausage fest and it seemed like everybody was there just standing around and looking at each other. THEN.. 4AM.. Armin comes on, ok I swear all of a sudden KH emptied out a little, and all the sausaged fest monkies left. IT WAS CRAZY! OMG some classics, some not, but all in all AVB does such a great job of getting the crowd going. I havent ever danced like that, EVER, i just completely lost it, now that i think about it i probably looked SO funny. We walked around a little bit, but guv with its tribal house night was a little too "gay" for me. I have nothing against it, but now i know how a chick feels when she's being "checked out". Orange room was smokin!, what were those kids on? but Dnb/jungle is not my bag so stayed mostly in KH. p.S to the ladies, holy half naked bodies... but you wont see me complainin! anyways ARMIN AGAIN YOU ROCKED ME.. wow.. thats all i gotta say, best show i've seeen in t.o yet since i got back in Sept!@
now close your eyes, wave your hands in the air and SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAMMMMMM..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG, what an incredible night, definitely one to remember...
We left the University at Buffalo around 11:15, and soon after my ride gets pulled over for having blue lights on his car, gets a summons from the stupid University Police. Get to his friend's house, give his friend directions (his friend wanted to go to the Jungle room the whole time), then leave for the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge. Well, both cars (we followed his friend) got stopped at the border patrol and we weren't allowed into Canada! It was probably the first out of like 100 times that I actually got stopped... We had to turn back and take the Rainbow Bridge over which was like 30 min out of our way.
When we got there, we caught the middle of Lawler's set. Honestly, I was expecting it to be HORRIBLE.. his CD (which I was listening to in Virgin on the preview earlier in the evening) was boring as hell. But I really got into it, the crowd got pretty worked up, his sets had a lot more peaks and drops, and I guess the repetitive nature of his music works a LOT better in a club. He did a good job...
Then Armin came on, and started by playing my favorite song of the year, which I was talking about the WHOLE car ride up how I hope Armin drops it - Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes. The whole set was pretty nuts, his mixing seemed a bit abrupt and you can really make out the points when he brought in the next song. Some of his mixes were very good tho... I LOVED it when he played all these classics like "Seven Cities", "Flaming June", "Godspeed" and "For An Angel". He did a really good job at working the crowd - the Toronto crowd REALLY seemed to get into it. I was like 15 or so feet from the DJ booth most of the time during the set. We left like at 7:55 or so cuz we were so dead tired and wanted to get back to Buffalo. But yeah, probably my second favorite performance I've seen.
The reason for so many gays there was cuz Peter Rauhofer is a big gay DJ from NYC... He sucks though.
Well, I just got up and I'm off to go back to sleep again... peace |

dude, were you in the same room as everyone else?? :conf: :conf: Cause prior to Armin (during Lawler) people were goin crazy. And the sexies were out in full-force. The enthusiasm in the crowd was something rare for Guv/KH. But anyways...
My night started it very very ty. I left home feeling like crap, all depressed and a bad headache. About half-way there I decide to it and go back home and just smoke up with a friend. I call up endlesswave to tell him I'm not gonna make it, but after 5 minutes of bitching and whining he convinced me...AND THANK GOD HE DID!! lol
It took me a while to get into KH and through coatcheck (the lineup was goin all the way into KH) but I finally made it through and began my quest to hunt for TA's, none of which I found until about an hour later.
Anyways, the party was InSaNe!! I was only there for Lawler but HOOOOOLY!! Did he ever destroy the place!! The only song I know that he dropped was Deep Dish ft. P. Diddy - Let's Get Ill, but I wish I could get a hold of the whole tracklist, especially the first song. The crowd was awesome...lots of gay guys, but it doesn't really bother me as long as they're not hitting on me. The ladies were unbelievable :eyespop: :eyespop: But the music was the absolute best.
I wish I stayed for Armin, but I hate only 4 hours of sleep, and I was starting to get sick in there when Armin came on. I could barely breathe and bla bla bla.
Shoutout to all the TA's that I met; Az, Chris (thanks for the tequila shot...mmmmmmm), Emery, RJ (thanks for the beer :)), Navid, Charmscars, Wurm, Highspirit and last, but not least, Deja (aka. brunette); you guys definately make the party. Up until I ran into Az and then the rest of the TA's this party was really ho-hum.
Music - 10/10, Tribal house at it's finest :)
Women - 9/10, well...what can I say? Plenty of Eye-candy.
Guv Service - 5/10, ugh, coatcheck sucked ass.
Overall - 9/10, definately up there with Sander K in August and VIVA one year. |

Argh I hate myself for missing this party! :whip: Damn the trip to WMC in Miami really drained my finances. I need to get a job!

That was a great party...I was impressed with the setup in the koolhaus and all the decorations, etc. I've seen Armin about four times now and he always manages to give the crowd what they want. It's great that all the SARS bullsh*t didn't keep him away. However, I actually wanted to see Lawler and simply said - he tore it up. I'm glad he played a set like that with not much tribal and lots of hard-ass beats. :D
I don't know about that crowd though...it seemed a little bit lacking in females! ...especially in the guvernment where me and my friend did not want to stay for obvious reasons. Those dudes are alright, but it's better that they have their own room.
Now back to studying.
ps Does anyone know the name of the remix of the Bjork song that Lawler played at 4?
:D |

Had a great time. Armin was cool.. and liked the vibe in the kool haus alot.
I asked his manager when he would come back to T.O and he said in October.
He also said that Armin has a residency in Ibiza in Amnesia every tuesday starting July.
Cant wait to see him then.
I also was surprised there was a gay party in the main room.
What i didnt like was the HOMOPHOBIA that was apparent everywhere. C'mon guys.. theyre not going to rape you.
but the Kool haus had some nice chicks last night. |

!! Armin aint coming back until October??? That's SIX MONTHS!! He was in Toronto at the Guvernment 3 times from April to September last year! I knew I should have gone to this party.
Armin seems to be my kind of Dj these days. I know a lot of you guys hate the anthems, but I love that . I still put my faith in Tiesto but his latest sets that I've seen people reporting don't interest me that much to be honest. Oh well, I guess we all change in our tastes.
I can't believe I ing missed Armin....I figured "well I have to study for American History 234E and he's only playing from 4-6 anyway. Might as well just catch him in the summer." So he played way past 7am, dropped crazy anthems and played some newer trance and WILL NOT BE BACK UNTIL OCTOBER?? ....I suck. |

God damn, sweet ass party. Got there at 12am, but stood in line for coat check for almost an hour. Got out just intime to see lawler step up and hit the decks. Does anyone know the 3rd(or 2nd) last track he played? It was very hands up in the air style, gota get my hands on the track! As for Armin, ohh yes, very very nice but I think ferry's was a little better last time I was there.
Stopped off in the orange room for a couple minutes, but the bass was so loud it was hurting my ears. Plus I don't really like jungle lol.
When we went to get our coats in the other room it was just....all....men. The amount of big beefy gay guys was crazy, plus there was some guy dancing on a podium with his ass cheeks sticking out. Pretty nasty.
Only ty part of the evening was getting our coats, 2 of my friends started to line up at around 6:15, we got out of the complex at 7:30, that was the longest coatcheck line i've ever been in.
Since no one has posted any yet, here are some tracks from armin:
PVD - For An Angel
GTR - Mistral
Green Martian - Wizardry
Solar Stone - Seven Cities (armin rmx)
Solar Stone - Solar Coaster (Midway)
BT - Godspeed |

No words can describe how incredible that party was. Armin is a god, koolhuas is the greatest venue in the world, and there were more than enough hot girl dancers to keep you dancing all ing nite.
Better than any Ibiza party, better than any other DJ |
