If this is the actual meaning of the word terrorism, then wouldnt the USA be guilty of that very act by invading Iraq with little to no reason other then politcal and economical gain??
Same with Israel for occupying Palestinian terroritories and containing the population by implementing marshal law tactics such as curfuws?
Same with Palestinians who strap bombs to their bodies and blow up malls and buses packed with people becuase it is their only method of retaliation

I beleive that they are militants who unfortunately use terrorism to fight and "defend" themselves against Israel with. I beleive that thesse palestinians are not raised to kill innocent peope in order to get their land back, rather they experience the devastation that is reaked onto their lives from that other country. Hatred, vulnerability, confusion..alll these and more persuade a young palestinian to use bombs to kill themselves becuase i beleive they are put into that siutuation by Isreal oppressive behaviour. Palestinians do not have one plane, helicopter, or tank in which to remove Israeli presence. |

Hell yah, che is or should i say was the man....
Its unfortunate to say but the US has and still is a terrorist state. This about it. Iran, Iraq, South Korea, Chile, Honduras, El Salvador, Panama, the list goes on and on. They sponsored regimes in these countries and if had to be done got the democratic govts out of power. It is safe to say that the US had their hands in all the biggest revolutions and civil wars in the last 50 years which resulted in the deaths of millions of innocent people. Whether it was a direct action, as in Iraq, or a behind the scenes action, like in Argentina with the death squads or El Salvador with the "contras". They funded, trained, and supported these militant groups, which killed everyone and anyone who stood in their way. Not too many people know about this, at least in the states, where the media hides all that information. I got plenty to say about this topic so if anyone is interested in sharing their opinions/beliefs with me i would be more then glad to listen.... |

You forgot to mention that the US is the only nation in the world to be charged with terrorist crimes against humanity by the International Court Of Justice for the death of thousands in Nicaragua...but the US has ignored this like all the other death caused by them. |

Honestly, some of you people really need to get a clue. This is just like the Iraqi war thread, a bunch of people posting uninformed garbage because they've heard little bits and pieces from the media and their friends. Why won't people ever learn the facts before forming an opinion? If your primary source is Al-Jazeera, then please do us all a favour and don't post anything political.
The one and only relevant post I've seen in this thread is Nat's: "No one is innocent & all media skew the truth (some worse than others)."
On a side note, some of you people REALLY need to stop automatically associating Jews with Israel. It's true that they are often mentioned together, but there are Israeli Arabs and Palestinian Jews, too. |
