Huh? The majority of the population in Israel were occidental Jews from the Middle East and Asia until the most recent Russian immigration of Jews. So a huge part of Israel is of middle eastern decent. And if you're going to base any argument on the amount of time a country has been around then you can't really legitmize the existence of Palestine since it never has been a country.

Yes, that's true.
I'm not sure if they were the absolute majority but Jews (even European) have always lived in that area. In fact even in the beginning of the 20th century there was a wave of immigration by Jews from Eastern Europe to live in the Holy Land. In the Middle Ages too, Jews and Christians lived in that area. |
