Cease Fire? (pg. 15)

ive forgat to say that i saw now in other political forum that "Odna"(the term for this cease fire by the arabs)by the koran is kind of a time out that gives the muslims time to arm them selfs again aginst the enmy - israel in that case
and the palastinians are very true and loyal for the koran like the scuiside boombers(shahids)trend
what do you think now?

Yes I read about the Odna before as well. Personally, I think that it's an ultra-paranoid viewpoint by Israeli extremists on the cease fire. Look at it pragmatically, if the Palestinians are indeed rearming themselves to renew attacks against Israel then the region simply returns to a state of violence after a period of peace. However, if the cease-fire is an actual attempt at resolving things diplomatically, and the Israelis break the cease-fire because of an "odna" then Israel loses all legitimate claims that they are attempting to achieve reconciliation with the Palestinians and gain peace. Either which way, whoever breaks the cease fire first will lose face in the realm of world opinion. Israel has everything to gain and nothing to lose by adhering to the terms of the cease fire. After all ... busses aren't being blown up in Jerusalem right? |

| In Arabic, the word "odna" means (translated) "let us sit down together". Now, because the Palestinian terrorist groups bend and contort the words of the Koran, it could mean anything. I guess the only thing to do right now is to sit and what, and peace will come, inshallah. |

this site does nothing but espouse total bull. it's sites like these that piss me off. In them, the Palestinians are the animals, and the Israelis are saints. Yeah, right! BULL!! The truth is that both sides are good and evil. But sites like this one do nothing except full anger. Oh my god, that site SHOULD be hacked, and taken down. |

althogh all the things in this site are facts i thank you for your comment i always wanted to know how people that are not from the middle east response to this kind of propaganda things that are just trying to make the both sides guilty

despite my location, I am from the middle east, lebanese in fact. but my nationality has no bearing on my political views. I do not like the palestinians or the isrealis.
I realize that that sire is all facts, but what upsets me is that it portrays ALL palestinians as animals. It does not attempt to individualize. Obviously, it is an amateur attempt at getting people all psyched up for a palestinian ass-whooping. |
