What makes you think that talented DJs only spin electronic music and not anything else? BTW, Paul Oakenfold started out spinning hip-hop. And i'm sure Tiesto wasn't always spinning Trance either. And why do you think hip-hop and rnb isn't dance music?

Bull.. In clubs girls dance horny and . but in reality there are dance classes you can take to learn to dance to rnb, hip-hop, etc. It's not just about shaking your ass. Try dancing like Britney Spears or Aguilera.. You'll see that it's not that easy. |

As for youro ther commenst in reference to my previous post. Come on man..... rap, hip hop and all that Top40 is just plain CRAP...you know it, I know it...everyone on here knows it. The people who listen to Top40 music and actually WANT to hear it when they go clubbing are idiots. They dance and act like idiots. Oakenfold is now ...and Tiesto has never really been into the rap scene. He always played dancey music.

Good point... alot of people out there don't have the resources or know where to hear good Trance here, and if there were a radio station that played Trance (not the commercial crap on Z103) then it would definitely get alot more ppl into the scene. |

I'm glad someone said it. I can't explain the frustration I feel when ALL of the people in high school are listening to cRAP and R&B, due to stations like z103. It makes me want to just go up to every single person and say to them "Why do you listen to the crap the radio stations play to ing brain wash you?". I say "brain wash" because that's what I believe it is. When you hear enough of that crap, and see it on Much Music too, people start thinking it's "cool", and eventually more people jump on the bandwagon.
I have never heard a single rap/r&b song that felt good to dance to, nor that I actually considered listening to for more than a minute without yelling at the person to turn that crap off.
After reading this thread I really feel like TA's understand what I'm feeling listening to that crap. The fact that the majority of you know that rap/r&b is just not good music at all, and that we don't listen to the crap we're fed by the media. This includes pop as well, which is like the poison of the world, in my opinion. |

Well, you may not know it, but hip-hop that you hear on TV is not all hip-hop that exists.. Just like Alice Deejay is the pop of Trance, the hip-hop on TV is the pop of hip-hop. Talk to somebody who knows, and don't assume stuff out of your ass. |

My brother is totally into underground hip hop and rap, but I still don't like that either. If anything, the underground stuff tends to be harder and full of much more hate and swearing (which sometimes is why it can't get Top40). What I'm saying is...the whole genre is just crap. I think there's so much more in electronic music...and I've found that people who listen to it aren't as sheepy (gullable, easily led-on) as the people who listen to Top40 crap. |
