So basically you have no other argument for your hate of hip hop other than your ignorance about it.
And I will go/already listening to hiphop and NOT cuz I'm defending but cuz I like it!!! so FU |
and I won't listen to it because I HATE it so you too. I already said why I don't like rap...the messages are never positive, far too much swearing and vulgarity, the image portrayed is bad...they GLORIFY gang life and a terrible attitude toward women. Rappers are dispicable people...and Eminem is at the top of that list. As I said....one of the main reasons why it's so popular around here is because youth are told that it's "cool" through various ways (TV, constant radio play, clothing lines, etc). Plus...I think it's quite simplistic and the basic beats RARELY appeal to me.
But you know...I'd much rather have the idiots who listen to Top40 and rap/hip hop just keep on listening to that noise and I'll be content to be in the minority. Intelligent people, are of course, represent the minority. ;) |

how come big djs only spin at clubs starting at like 2 or 3? The people who drink at clubs are gone by now. So why in heavens name are the DJ's spinning at this time? Because this is when the druggie crowd comes in. Sad...But true....
|
i tastefully disagree. I know many upon MANY people who go to see the headline deejay who NEVER do drugs.. EVER myself included.. Hell I went to IBIZA for christs sake and didn't do drugs. SO give me a break correlating electronic music to drugs is just as bad as someone say rap is all about thugs and gangastahs and other crap. |

I was just talking about the majority of people out there. Unforunately, trance addicts are in the minority. I don't think anyone can argue with the fact that drugs rule the electronic music scene. |
very true, so it can also be said that then the majority of mainstream rap is seen in a negative conotation as well then. |

| it is but if u obtain a birds eye view on the scene it really doesnt have a negative connotation.... |

when i said
us Listeners of electronica have something special.....
why is it that you thought i was talkin about drugs....
i meant the music...and the fact that it joins all of us together in some little way. I cant personally describe the feeling but i by no means was indicating that electronica is about drugs.
this was aimed at dj smitty by the way... |

I dont see both partys point, you listen to whatever you want to, as long as you like it, some people have diffrent views about hip hop scence, and the black people have a diffrent view of the electronic scence as they think its full of druggies and pill poppers.
I agree there are very talented black people and white people and many other cultures, but defining a music genre doesnt define your culture. Me being indian love the european scence and the north american scene so much, i dont hate on indian music, but i see some people on tranceaddict who do!!.
Party Princess i must agree with you there though, but again remember all 5 fingers are never the SAME!!!!
Not everyone thinks the same as you do. |
