ok well since I ended up not going to this on account of a bunch of ....

first!

please do tell your story of the overcrowded letdown that I hope was Labour of Love. hehe not to hate or nutin.:gsmile: :tongue3 :eyespop:
Shaya007
I had a great time...it was overcrowded at times due to the fact of dj set times, but it seemed way more organized and compfortable going into all the rooms and listen to all the different styles of music..I must give a big shout out to the Junglist room;these people always know how to have a good time and dance all night long..The party's still going on @ the Sky BAR with the one and only MO!

Dj's:

Sasha...my first time seeing him and it was a pleasant Xperience..
Mr.Corsten...Awesome energy enjoyed by bunch of people through out the night(Thanks for the pose Mr.Corsten;)

James Zabilia(Is that how you spell his name?!:D ;) ) Amazing watching him skraching the GUV Turntables to the Max):eyes: :stongue:

And to ALL the TA's I met tonight....The night belongs to all of you because of one fact only..You're all true fans of music :D ;)

working on pics and maybe a little surprise on the side as we speak;)

Cheers,
Shaya

I'm not going to write much here because I'm stinky, sweaty and exhausted after a 4 hour trip to Toronto that should have taken an hour and a half, 9 hours of good partying, and then a 2 hour drive back to London.

So how was the TA pre-meetup? Did Ferry showup? If he did, I'm going to be pissed off....my buddy's car gets WHAT on the 401? Oh yes that's right...a ing flat! So we call roadside assistance, they take an hour to come, change the tire in 20 minutes, boom...we're back on the road. We got in to TO about 9:45 when it should have been 7:30 no problem.

Oh well...anyway...the crowd levels were actually reasonable and I applaud the Guv. for that. The only rooms that were unbearable were the Main room (why is it always a zoo getting up that staircase?) and the Drink.

Dj Dan bored the absolute out of me, and the Bassbin Twins....well, let's not even go there. Sasha seemed like he was prepping a good set, but just before 1:45, I couldn't take the heat in there so I headed to the sky bar to check out Dekoze. He was rocking up top...cool guy too....i shook his hand and got a picture with him, until the bouncers started kicking everyone off.

Then it was time for Ferry Corsten, the main reason I was there. He kicked ass, that's all I have to say. Smooth mixing...nice selection...he played pretty hard (for Ferry) if you ask me......not a lot of "cheesey" trance that I think we've grown accostomed to, even if we do like it. I recognised a load of tracks, including Tiesto's TRAFFIC...though it seemed I was the only one going nuts for that one. Y-Traxx was classic thrown in that made me smile too. Ferry is a tank on the decks though....just keeps going and going. I couldn't stand past 7:50 so I had to jet. My legs are still cramped up, but then again, i didn't stop moving the entire set, except to go get a bottle of water. Thanks Ferry...you rocked us all...oh, and thank for signing my MIXED LIVE in LA cd too!

Oh...I heard Mark Oliver was pretty ty up in the sky bar, but I didn't even bother to check him out since he was playing at the same time as Ferry.

All in all, I'd give it a 9/10! Great night.

Oh MY LORD! WHAT A NIGHT!
it was anything but a let down......

Started off at the meet up....where Ferry himself showed up..BONUS!
Headed over at 1o15ish to avoid massive line ups....only waited for like 20 min an we were let in right away....BONUS!
Did a tour of most of the rooms before settling in guv for Sasha.
Was centre stage for when Sasha hit the decks.....ing awesome!
Headed over to KH for ferry....ING WIKKID ASSS....BIG ING BONUS!
Headed up to skybar at like 6...which was open till 10 ...BONUS!
then left at like 9ish to Margs for the after party...and im home now!

I dont think ive danced that hard that long in a long time.....

Im not even going to try to mention everybody....you all know who you are....I LOVE YOU ALL!

Well first nat i must say thank you for convincing me to come to meet up for the first time nice surprise that Ferry was there too i LOVE you for that one. Big up Ferry for signing my brand new hat(guess that last night was the only party for that hat now) retired to the wall of fame. First of all showed up at GUV at like 11 pm already sick ass lines walked around for a sec meet some girl talked and she cut us in line with her sweet deal 2 min line up. Hassels security crocthing me and the bitch wouldnt stop feeling me up for like 5 mins Wassup wit dat? Then with ticketmaster web tickets last time I ever do that. Finally inside KH Dj Dan was so sweet(DJ Dan is the ing man) gotta love the funky techno tribe. He played a nice mix of old skool beats and new stuff, always a good warm up for a hard night of partying. Bassbin Twins were sick as not as good a reaction from the crowd as could have been(in my opinion). Checked out a little of Sasha before Ferry was to come on, I will say what i heard of i was rather impressed, have never really be impressed all the times I have seen him before. Then back to KH for the reason i was there Ferry 'in' Corsten, what can i say sweet mixing, really working the crowd, very good track selection. Have always liked Ferrry but must say he is higher on my fav list now than he was before. Must say i had a good time last year at Labour Of Love, well this was even better did not seem to be as overcrowded as last, and the crowd was totally in good party spirits(guess all the Toronto party kids needed a good one after this terrible summer or city has had) Well can't wait till next years Labour Of Love. Till then anniversary weekend AVB & PVD friday and saturday whats going on on sunday it is Thanksgiving weekend right? Anyways gotta go through pics and enjoy this last unoffical day of summer.

Peace to all my TA's out there have a good one!!!

PS nat you are my godess

First time at the guv and I danced my ass off. The people were awesome! A very fun time. Stretch and Hooker were off the charts. I'm surprised I didn't start dancing to them sooner. $4 for water was crazy. DJ Dan was good too (despite equipment problems). Bassbin twins were the 50 minutes I sat out. That was a weird jump for me going from housy stuff to hiphop(sorta of). Corsten was harder , which was good for early mornin'. The sound for his set was weird. I don't know if the EQ settings weren't right for trance/hardtrance.
When I got away from the speakers it sounded a bit better (prob me being deaf at this point).

Beware the crazy drunk girl(woman)!
bass drive
I think I am the only one who didn't enjoy the party.
got in there around 1, lost my friends from 1:30-6
also being sick didn't help much.

the djs I saw

James z. 9/10
sasha 7/10
ferry 6/10
bassbin twins 3/10

it was a waste of money for me.
the only plus side was the girls, alot of hotties and good male/female ratio

Too out of it to type anything else......all i can say is thank you to The Guv for making last night VERY organized, and not too packed at all for a line up like lastnight. As you can see my "Plan of Action" didnt work out exactly like i had planned, but i still got to pretty much roam freely as i wished. Full review to come later. Met a lot of new wikked TA's lastnight!!! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

High on PSI
I had a lot a fun... I was pretty retarted lol, but i had a lot of fun
:p

Sasha rocked. Unbelievable. This was very close to the Sasha we all know than the one that's been a little ho-hum the past year. Incredible set.

Had fun to Corsten as well...I was feeling too good to give a whether I was partying to Trance, House or breaks :)

And then Zabiela....Holy ! He completely killed me...I could barely stand after an hour and a half of him.

Organization of the party was incredible as well. Got from room to room VERY quickly (longest it took me to get to Guv was 15 minutes). I didn't find it too packed anywhere, but I guess we had good spots. After last years disaster, this year was a complete improvement.

Shout out to all the TA's I partied with :)

Highlight of the Night: Sasha looking at me when we were on the stage, I show him a thumbs up, he thumbs up back to me :D

Best party I've been to at Guvernment. Everything was so well organized. I hope every event at Guv from now on is like this.

Next up: PvD and Deep Dish (again, lol)
