i'm pretty sure any professional hip-hop/rap beat doesn't get produced only with a 'keyboard'. even if many of the commercial tracks now focus on endless 5 second loops.
commercial hip-hop/rap really sucks. not only for the music consisting on lame endless loops and silly immature lyrics, but for all the stuff associated with it. 'bling bling', idiots pretending they're bad gangsters, and the idea that murdering and comitting crimes around there is cool. kids and teenagers are the target group for their music, consequently their minds are all polluted by this crap
on the other hand, there is underground hip-hop/rap. people say it is actually decent and has nothing to do with the commercial bull. i don't think i've heard any track of this kind neither i think it'd appeal to me as any track that focus on lyrics doesn't. but we should learn to respect that kind of music, or at least not make stupid generalizations about what we don't have a clue about. after all, we are all sick of people making stupid generalizations about trance ("it's all techno", "dj sammy is trance", "trancers = candy ravers", "trancers = ecstasy junkies") so let's not make stupid generazlizations about hip-hop/rap. |

i never deny that i like hip hop, certain days i love it
but i don't listen to practically a single song you'll hear on a rap/hip hop station on the radio
thats where the crap is
i suggest all of you go download some grouch, he's one of my favorite rappers even though his beats are simple and could be made in fruity loops
it just flows |

what you think trance is better? the electronic music scene is based on DRUGS. those drugs come from people who kill each other all the ing time. so, in logical terms, you support killing people since you support trance that supports drugs that supports drug dealers.
SO STFU. |
You really are an idiot. people do no like pvd, tiesto, avb etc because they like and uses drugs, so i don't know what you are talking about. and never use the word logical again because you have none of it.
alot of these rappers are innercity pieces of gone famous for their image, that is what i was trying to say (i even gave an exmple that you left out of the quote). am i wrong? |

To me, be it rap or hip hop, if you can buy it from a store, its :D, all the stuff I get are from the house parties and underground stuff and that I like.
Think about it also (this is kind of a side note) its mainly the culture that the artists have created that causes the hate. Johnny Cash did a song called Delia where he goes up to Memphis to see his Fiancee. He ties her to the chair. He shoots her once, hated to see her suffer, but with the second shot she died. If he hadnt shot poor delia hed a had her for his wife. Wyclef did the song too.
Cashs song does better generally. He made a different repuatation for himself. I dont like half the out there because I hate the artists who sing the . Or I dont like who they hang with. Im not just buying a track when I am buying a CD, im supporting the artist/s and everything they do. Which is why I choose not to support the Rap industry. Watch MTV2 or the BET channel. 90% of the stuff on there is low brow, troglodytic , and I'll have no part in injecting it further into America or the world.

what's wrong with wanting to live a better life? you're not the one living in ghettos and innercities who have to experience drugs, gangs, and violence everyday so stfu...you're prolly just jealous that they'll have more money than you ever will in your entire life |

Everytime I'v gone to see a dj I like, I'v always had a blast, and I haven't been on drugs once. I tryed 'E' three times though, but I quit when I thought I was going to die on my third roll.
Unfortunately, most good rap died with Tupac and Biggie. Back then there was alot more talent around. Now most of the rap is . I think when the "dirty south" took over thats when everything started changing. Eminem would be decent if he would rap about something other then who he hates. 50 Cent pretty much sucks but he's actually one of the better ones we have today. That's how sad rap and hip-hop have gotten. My opinion though. |
