I guess we live in very different places because i almost never hear electronic music played. No one hear likes it, instead they like rap and hip hop. |

I recall you said you've never heard underground rap. Therefore I conclude that you dont know about the music. For example all I hear is people bumping DJ Sammy. Thats the only trance I've heard. Therefore, I dont know about trance (hypothetically). I'll put it this way: What you hear on the radio is the DJ Sammy of rap. |

yea i went into kazaa and typed in Rave and got all these songs which are happy and gay and bouncy and have stupid words like are you ready for the launch and and have melodies which i can make on a keyboard by repeating four notes, this is what i also hear on the radio, and see on MTV therefore i know this is what electronic music is about and can conclude that | quote: | Originally posted by caddyshack

Well if u never explore the underground u can never say u know that is wat electronica music is...there is undergrounds rap right? so wtf...i'll do this then...i listen to nelly so i know everything about rap...similar break beats with the a melodic rhythm i can also play on the keyboard.
Wats ur point?...alot of genres of music basically sound the same...all i get from rap is...i'll shoot ur head, steal ur girl cuz of my flashy watch, go deal kilos of coke and weed, get high as fuk and steal from others. B4 u judge a music...at least know it...go to the underground of it..and its roots...im sure rap is alot more than wat i said...but how much can u expect from mainstream commercial music?
As a Trance Dj i love trance...and as a kid who grew up in flushing queens, nyc...i like rap to. I respect artists such as Nas...Styles P, Jadakiss, 50 cent, even eminem...i cant stand listening to the used to be Benzino...ja rule, Nelly, and all the other fake commercial fags. Well its the same here...real trance and other genres are underground...wat u hear on the radio that is classified as electronica...would not be played by any real respectable trance dj. Commercial music is garbage for almost any genre that has a underground to it.

I never said i knew anything about underground music, ever! i don't know where this is coming from. let me put it this way... in america the rap played on the radio and mtv is the most popular music genre there is for teens and young adults. I am asking why there is such love for it considering all its low life image and musically talentless rappers. |
