i've seen pvd since the industry days. officially, i just came back from the best live set i've EVER experienced in toronto. just like "the time of our lives", twice! best 3.5 hours i danced to EVER in toronto. i saw nat in the lineup. pvd just played about everything since his last album. hilites include...

beautiful things
carrera 2
until the rush comes
traffic
nothing but you
time of our lives
avenue
and a bunch of others from politics of dancing which i can't think of right now.

i am in a desperate need of a shower and some shut eye. to those who went, i hope you felt the same.

good night.

I think im the first home
first off, great pre meet..only minus my girlfriend because she got sick and spent the night @ a friends. How sad, fly all this way, get sick @ armin(sober) see an hour of him, and none of PvD. I feel really sorry for her.

So anyways. Mark played (IMO) a better opener last night for armin. But I didnt/couldnt stick around to hear him finish the night off. Paul graced us @ 12:30, and picked it up and slammed us around for a good 2 hours. then he got iffy ish(IE not my fave trax) and came out of the iffyness w/ As The Rush Comes, only to play some SICK SICK SICK breaks. next 2-4 tracks phat bassline breaks, that were completly new to me. Wicked. He kept up this Amazing ness until 3(supposed end time) when he dropped a vocal/acoustic version of time of our lives followed by nothing but you. And then kept going until 4.(I think)

What a in night.
4th time w/ PvD and he blew it away.
and KH is so much better than Guv, it wasnt really packed like Armin was last night. There was actually room to Dance!:D:D

need sleep. and shower, im sticking to myself(if you know what I mean)

had a fantastic time! i however bailed at 3:55am since i was really not in the mood for an exodus and a rush at the coat check.

did i miss anything? from the looks of it, pvd was off shortly after.

what's the deal with the "for an angel" sample around 3:20am or so? did he play the entire song at one point and i missed it or something?

either way, i was totally blown away by an incredible performance. thumbs down to the losers sniffing their vics vaporub and the wankers walking around topless... :conf:

will this set be available somewhere, *anywhere*? how does that work, are they bootlegs, or soundboard recordings, or... ?

ps. will pvd be back soon?

Not much to say PVD was sick i was extremely satisfed. Only drawback was Kool Haus was two packed and too hot, otherwise it was sick i was so happy to hear PVD again it been such a long time/

OMFG...To say that tonight was absolutely amazing would be an understatement. :eyespop: I read some of the other reviews already and I saw people saying that Mark Oliver played a better opener for Armin, but in my opinion (as you can probabbly see from my review last night for which i got killed) tonight Mark played a stellar opener and in my opinon better than the previous night. And no i'm not saying it because Mark got upset at what I said last night and i'm just trying to be cheesy and make up...it's cause I think Mark played a wicked wicked set tonight (Not that the previous night's was bad its just that i think tonight was better). Most definitely thumbs up because I truly think it was brilliant warmup and excellent way to close the night off! :D Ok now to Paul Van Dyk...OMG!:eyes: First off he wasted no time at all and opened with a banging track that sent everyone jumping. He never really slowed down after that and was blowing the roof off non stop. Awesome mixing awesome tracks and definitely awesome performance. Now i'm not sure if anyone can verify this but I think he was using final scratch or something similar cause most of his tracks came off his laptop and only a few of them were played from CDs and records...anyone has any info on that? - Just curious. I absolutely loved how he played time of our lives...and then the second time the total chilled mix of it, and then closed off with connected!!! Going in tonight I didn't know if i'll be able to survive the two nights one after the other but man...I just coudln't stop dancing it was unbelievable...No doubt he's giving Tiesto a challenge and Tiesto is my fav DJ...Now imagine seeing them both in Amnesia Ibiza in one night WOW :eyespop:. Definitely one of the best parties I've attended lately. Was so blown away by PVD never really got the chance to check out Deep Dish...anyone knows how were they?
Oh yeah and before I finish off...Kool Haus was really great this time...It wasn't too hot and not really overcrowded...perfect balance in my opinion so great job to the guv crew on that! It was also great seeing some of the TAs and hanging out with smitty and some of my buds from the States...:D Wow what a great time
The only thing that did bother me a bit (and i know i wasnt the only one) were some of the ppl that climbed on our heads to try and get autographs. For a moment there it was a little crazy as security ppl were literally pulling people down. Even Paul said and was signalling with his hands kinda "hold on later slow down" but he was actually really nice about it and as far as i saw signed everything that was given to him (and some of the things were rediculous but hey what do i know). Hope I don't get killed over this review and someone feels the same way i do. Cheers! (Pics will be posted in a separate thread)
