ATB flaming Paul van dyk on his forum! (pg. 2)

After Reflections Paul really doesn't have room to bash ATB. During the Out There And Back days, yes, I would say he had a right to; Andre's stuff at the time was admittedly cheesy, Paul's admittedly brilliant.

But in recent years Paul's works have declined and ATB's works have improved, both DJ- and production-wise. He doesn't have the right to be arrogant with his current commercial streak, and I'm disappointed to hear that he would be.

And to be honest, Paul's stuff is closer to ATB than to the masterpieces of Sasha, Way Out West, Bedrock and John Graham. It doesn't mean I can't enjoy his work, but just to be truthful.

That isn't so much of a problem if his popularity is as big as ever, which you have to admit that it is, despite the fact that his "devoted" (devoted as in people who have followed him for a long time) fans think his works have declined as of late.

I thought so too :haha: But then when I saw Jan say 'I disagree' I thought maybe rabid meant something bad about me? So I got confused :p My bad then.

seriously I have to agree on that.
I'm not a fan of ATB but his trackselection really improved lately! but his mixing still sucks to be honest.

I dont wanna make Paul bad, but u are right.

that's pretty low ... why would PvD stoop to that sort've level.

that doesn't seem like his style ... but if it is, than that's

rather arrogant of him. i respect both ATB & PvD as artists and

djs, but if this is the case - then i'm in favor of andre more

as a person over PvD (even though i've never met either of them

in my life). :gsmile:

hrhr, maybe he realy is arrogant in private.

Paul van Dyk is not arrogant, just because he has his pictures all over his CD's everytime? And it's not like they are from behind the booth... the man actually poses. The best moment was where he is walking in front of a mural of himself. What a toss pot! And... I do remember Paul bashing Andre on more than one occasion... quite lame.

i dunno, this whole thing sounds pretty shady to me. paul doesnt seem to be the type to bash other people's music, and theyre have been instances where some lie or misquote got published and claimed to be pvd's words. if its true, as long as his music doesnt start to go bad ill continue to listen to his work. still though, its nice to know that your favorite artist is a humble sort of guy:p
Evil_Gnome
I think its just stupid and bad for the scene. What is this rap?

i agree with others who said that pvd has no right bashing atb when his work has has really start to be less appeling, when i heard otab i thought wow, and then i heard reflections, and i really wondered if who did this.

i'm on atb's side on this one
