I heard it sucked ass with alot of Electro .

I hope no Aria people asked him to play hard again. Montreal doesn't like it hard.

I wish that club would let the DJs play the style they are known for. I don't understand why a club would book an epic trance DJ and get them to play hard (or prog, or techno, electro, or other crap). They can hear that anyday of the year with Yaz, Marco G, and the other resident DJ's. I know that when I pay to see a DJ, I want to hear the stuff that he is known for.

I dont agree on the point that montreal doesnt like harder styles..its the total opposite...
I do agree though that a dj should play whatever style they're known for..
Assassin
when I got there, Kid Vicious was on and he played an amazing set. Then Ferry came on and dropped bomb after bomb for about an hour. I thought for sure this was going to be the best night ive had at aria. Then he played Punk and it went downhill from there. He played a lot of ty electro with ghey stephen hawkings vocals. By the end of his electro craze, he started playing trance again....but it was too late....many people left and the vibe was dead. He started dropping more bombs but it wasnt enough. He then quit an hour and a half early. absolutely ridiculous. did he not get paid or something? that is so unprofessional, and ive lost a lot of respect for him. He turned what was looking like an amazing night into a bust because he couldnt play for an hour longer.

5/10

8/10 if he would have cut the electro crap when he saw people filing out of the club

10/10 if they would have let Kid Vicious back on the decks

12/10 if Ferry would have done is ING JOB.

I saw Ferry the three previous times he was in Montreal, and he rocked!
But, OMFG, he played Steven Hawking tunes? WTF?!?!!? That's a sign of a bad night. The only one who can pull a Steven Hawkings tune off is Blank & Jones.

I'm going to see him sunday in Ottawa. I guess I'm going to have to bring a sign with me: "Electro sux..." and on the flip side" "Trance only!"

OMG what the are you talking about man!
1st, MONTREAL LIKES IT HARD ******
2nd, Ferry played lots of trance IMO and I really appreciate the fact that not EVERY SINGLE track was pure trance....he was awesome, I wish I'd like trance like I used to, cause it was a very nice party...lots of TA

nice to meet Alec and Meat coming down from Ottawa, usual crew was there....also nice to welcome back rnakr which I didnt saw for a long time @ Aria....partEgurl, nice to meet you too, nrg2NfiniT you rock with lightsticks!!! it was nice to see all those TAs dancing together, especially during PUNK!!:p :p :p

PEURF SQUAD REPRESENT!!!!

great night, I have to admit that trance makes really good partys...

Yaz was awesome, I like to arrive @ Aria and see Yaz on fire every time!
Kid Vicious was good also, I felt bad for him when all those s screamed FERRY FERRY FERRY FERRY when he began....:p

and Ferry, well....hes a top trance dj, and you can understand why when you see him.....

wtf is up with you people, can't you look at the good side of things ?

I waited 1hr30 outside in the cold, and holy I was cold, but it was totally worth the wait.
Kid vicious was already on the decks when I got in and he was warming up the crowd really well though playing very hard and fast as an opener.
He played Havannah - Havannah and that was the best track from his set !:D

Ferry then came on, and for the first hours, he played trance at its best, everyone was going nuts, everyone was so into it, even jfl in the booth :p ! hehe
Then he went off to play harder stuff, but unlike Assassin stated, I don't think the vibe died, everytime there was a build-up, people were still jumping.
The only thing I was surprised of was the fact he was left early, when I decided to leave actually.
But when you think about it, the guy has like 10 gigs in a row, give him a break.

tracklist
radical impression - traveller 3 (one of the best tracks of the night)
Ferry Corsten - Rock Your Body Rock
Ferry Corsten - Punk
Ferry Corsten - Indigo
BT - Force Of Gravity (Ferry Corsten Bootleg Remix)
F Massif - Somebody (Ferry Corsten Remix)

"LET'S , LET'S , I WANNA ROCK YOUR BODY ROCK"

Great nite. Nice seeing lots of TA's.

EZ now boyz..

Have you ever wondered if maybe he *wanted* to play those ty electro tracks?? That he could actually enjoy another style of music other than epic trance and look forward to the chance to play in certain cities like Montreal where it may be, in his eyes, more easily accepted?
by the way... PVD played at I LOVE TECHNO in Belgium a few year's back.. and I can assure you he didn't play trance. I wouldn't be surprised if he simply relishes the opportunity for a change every now and then.

Don't get me wrong.. I'm not even much of an electro fan, and I do get frustrated on occasion as well when I don't get to see/hear what I was hoping for, but I think it would be a bit far fetched to practically write him off as a dj, and claim he wasn't doing his job.
Cutting out early on his set? That's kinda lame.. wondered what happened there.

I will be catching his set tomorrow night, should be interesting. :D
