My pal Andrew & I got there at 10:30 and ended up leaving at 1am...YEP thats 1 in the A ing M....I could NOT take the stupid smoke machine being pumped in an already WAY overcrowded venue...I am actually very sick from that night & I have to see my doctor later because I'm sure I have Bronchitus now and my head is ready to explode of congestion...luckily I didn't have to wait too long to get my coat 'cause I was dyin'...I think I caught a half hour of Ferry's set and he's one of my fave DJs...I hope to GOD that if he comes back to Toronto that he spins at a better venue and NOT the money hoarding Guv venue...:mad:
the ONLY great thing about that nite was seein my fellow TAs and my pals DJ Moby, Kurt et al....
I rate this party an overwheling 2 thumbs down :confused:

The over-hyped Space was overcrowded beyond anything I have ever seen at GUV. The sound sucked so bad it was hard to recognize songs (honestly) and the space itself lacked any character and was pretty claustrophobic.

really? wow? i thought the clubs down there were rockin (i liked them alot more than the clubs down here)...
i thought space had an amazing system too (i know they upgraded from a phazon a week before wmc too)...even up on the terrace (sounded 10X better than skybar), and they even had lighting/cryo up there too...i looooooooove cryo hehehe
crobar had a really good system too...
is there anything like nikki beach/opium garden in TO? errrrrm dont think so...
even state (for the lights out party) had a rocking system
:p
after boa, i cant think of another club in Toronto with as good a soundsystem as some of the places I went to down there had...

| anyone enjoyed themselves when the main room was as packed as it was... It was f*cking ridiculous, not all the drugs in the world could made my night more enjoyable, there was nowhere to go main room, it was a sea of people shoulder to shoulder... Sure, Ferry is god, and I loved every track he played, BUT, as good as he was, how can you enjoy it when you can't even dance?????????????? I agree with whoever says it should have been an all access night... totally turns me off of going in the future.. I'm guessing they were letting people into the main room from KH but not letting anyone into the KH from Guv, and so people were just flowing into the main room... IT WAS F*CKED UP, not to mention all those shirtless "I think I'm huge" juice monkeys, you think girls like that sh*t... HELLSSSS NO!!! |

I guess you haven't been to Boa (os System for that matter). Because those bouncers and staff are the most polite people to ever work at a club. They even say excuse me when walking though a crowd. |

complain, complain, complain ... yea so i almost died too of suffocation, disgusting sweat dripping ginos, being trampled on, and elbowed in the head & ribs and what not ... but i found a way to still have a good time on fri the 13th for tiesto at aria over a year ago. same goes for deep dish when aria was rammed to the roof!
U MAKE THE PARTY FOR YOURSELF! be grateful for what u've got! we're way too sploiled! :happy2: |

i had a great time. for me it was a first that i started dancing the second i got in (10.15). couldn't help it. music was infectious.
loved ferrys set. so many tracks i loved. some i didn't know. most i don't remember:stongue: from 5 on i was expecting him to be getting off. hes always stayed on late, but an extra 3.5 hrs? so impressed by his "professionalism" (lol). packed to , but i was expecting worse. just threw my elbows up a bit and made my space (sorry to the ppl i hit). lotsa rude ppl, but even more awesome ones, esp the TAs. funny how ever cool person i meet turns out to be on here.

I loved Ferry, but I cannot stand how RAMMED it was in there.. how the hell are you supposed to rip it up without throwin' some "bos" around and totally tickin' ppl off? But, the night is what you make of it and it was totally SIIICK!.. I was a mover and a shaker for sure.. my feet did NOT stop moving except for the ocasional drink of water and to adjust my hat :P I give props to all the fellow dancers who maintained their energy the whole night through.. it was rough in there for a while with no space.. GUV seriously has to do something about that...
I met a TON of TA's!! sorry for not remembering names but you all know how it goes.. and of course my b/f KevinEarth *kisses* heehee, his bro WalterMindz and his g/f as well.. you guys RAWK!

i am sorry, but he got jumped on because he said that electro/techno is crap... totaly wrong place to do it considering that most MTL TAs are techno lovers, its asking for trouble.
and this has nothing to do with aria itself. |
