+ 2 points for the crazy swan :)

saw hot fuzz last night, thought it was really good, only thing was dragged on a bit at the end. 4.5 / 5. best movie I've seen in a long while.
wouldn't say it's exclusively a guy flick though, the violence is amusing more than anything

NARP :)

and I reckon it was even better than shaun of the dead! which was good too

^ I guess I like zombies more than the 'good cop/bad cop' story :wtf:

watched Eyes Wide Shut with my girl last night.

i had watched it abotu a year or two ago, and hadnt lasted the full movie without falling asleep, but i got through it this time and found it thoroughly enjoyable and very intense.

Some great scenes in the movie, and whilst some would argue that it is just smut on the big screen, i found the movie to be really thought provoking.

what are others thoughts on this movie?
Dean Millson
i thought it was an interesting commentary on the relationship between marriage, fidelity, wealth & power.

(well from what i remember anyway, not seen it since it first came out)

:p

Saw Man of The Year last night... save it for DVD and a rainy day unless you've got a thing for Robin Williams humour. Was a little more political than I expected but only enough so that it's actually interesting. Also stars a dying Christopher Walken, an evil Jeff Goldblum and very scatty Laura Linney.

Smokin' Aces.

I sat down to watch this expecting heaps, by looking at shorts and hearing ppl saying how good it was.

Its passable. I was expecting an in-depth story, but it was pretty mediocre, and covered up by a large number of characters with semi-different stories.

It had a couple of good scenes in it, but like most other action movies, is made to appeal to the most primative of minds.....

Mildy enjoyable.

Upcoming...

Transformers seriously doesn’t excite me now. They’ve gone too far away from the original concept. Overhyped at this point.

Bumblebee isn’t even a VW anymore, apparently because VW didn’t want to be associated with the movie.

I’m interested to see Hugo Weaving’s voice as Megatron though (they couldn’t get the original guy, but they’ve got Peter Cullen ie. The original Optimus Prime). I thought Weaving was excellent as Agent Smith in The Matrix.

Anyways, check out the new trailer here.

Pirates 3 and Rush Hour 3 (view trailer) I’m looking forward to.

LOL, I was depressed when they first announced a live action feature!

they did get the original voice for megatron, frank welker, but i think it didn't suit the style of the movie or some like that. he is in the video game version though.
