Death Race 2000 (1975)
David Carradine and Sylvester Stallone headline this awesome piece of awesomeness.
In an future world run by an oppressive tyrant, brave men and women take part in a race across the country. Not only the winner takes all, but the highest scorer, with the racers racking up points by running down bystanders and spectators. I'm not making this up, honestly.
You ever wonder where the joke about old people being "double points" came from? This movie.
Yes, the racers run down people during the race. Hilarity ensues.
This is one absolute piece of gold of a movie. It honestly is one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time.
Did I mention its awesome?
oh yeah, and theres boobs.

Theres a remake (well, very loosely based on the original) coming out soon with Jason Statham, which really will be a poor cousin of this movie. |

Been watching lots of movies lately... the best was Hunger. Very full on + graphic but it's justified. Need to be in the right headspace to watch it as it leaves you in a pretty solemn mood.
Saw Burn After Reading too, didn't have high expectations but really liked it, it's worth a watch. |

not bad - mickey rourke was good and marissa tommie is a robobabe.
its getting massive reviews and oscar buzz n stuff - but i thought it was just okay 7.5/10
last scene is a tearjerker for sure |
