I agree that some of his policies were messed but it's none of our business, if it's such a bad problem the whole world would agree to do something which they haven't. I'm sure they could have negotiated some good oil deals. How much is haliburton over charging our army? How much money did ken delay give to Bush? Doesn't Condeleza Rice have an OIL tanker named after her.....I will put good money Bush and Co. are making a killing off of his little war at the cost of America lives and my tax dollars.... ing disgusting. |

jamez ---- who the hell has programmed your head???? it seems like you believe anything you're told without thinking or questioning it. the truth is, the proxy war destroyed afghanistan to bits. the country was torn apart and that is how the taliban s took over in the first place. as for osama, he does not represent people of any religion. those that follow him are a minority who are on the most part uneducated in school and religion. these are extremely desperate people who have been misled in a gross misinterpretation of a religion called Islam, its literal translation = PEACE. these terrorists are not muslims...they are just more evil men that use any means to power. they are no worse or better than hitler or stalin...willing to kill thousands for a faulty cause. what i hate most about them is their sending a very very corrupted image of what Islam preaches and what regular muslims are like.
i personally don't think war is the answer for anything, and i really don't think there's is any excuse for it except on the grounds of defense. that does not mean you go enter countries with some kind of pre-emptive attack based on false reasons and economic motivations. get the in terrorists.... they might run around these countries, but they have nothing to do with them. they have only to do with their disturbed heads and followings. attacking a country, destroying its people and infrastructure does nothing. it is mass murder of the innocent.
i could go on and on... but as usual its just one opinion and i think its been stated.
jdat, i think its people like him that lead others to believe americans support the wrong doings of its administration. all of this nonsense sucks for everyone.... why don't they get it???? |

At what point did I say that freedom wan't a person's God given right and that I thought that people want to be controlled, brutalized, and tortured you stupid ing twit? Japan got what they deserved after what happened at Pearl Harbor. As far as Regan is concerened, I wish more presidents were like him, especially when it comes to foreign affairs. But, his domestic theories sucked-Reganomics, come on now.
My only point is other nations are aware of what America stands for and is about. They are, for the most part, envious of what we have which is why they either love us or hate us. All I'm saying is we sometimes force our beliefs on other places where it's not welcomed. There's no harm in trying to show other places, what we deem as a better life. However, to attempt to impose our culture elsewhere, where resistance is strong, just makes us like the other places. You can lead a horse to the water, but you can't make him drink. That's my point. We focus so much on what is wrong with other places in the world that we seem to lose focus on what's wrong within our country. People are dying of starvation, of AIDS, etc. etc. What's wrong with putting our countries needs first before other places. We need to better life for us before we can worry about bettering life for someone else. If anyone on this board is arrogant, my friend, you top that list. small quibble... they got what they deserved for pearl harbor? that's harsh... no one should be subjected to nuclear warfare, i think that the physical effects from the two atomic bombs are still being felt today, almost 60 years later. no one deserves such a fate... i'd have to agree with everything else. haha... STAR WARS... does anyone else remember that failed reagan plan? heh. no more from my end :) |
