fact of the matter is that in the beginning of the post...the main argument was not that pvd is a great dj/mixer and thats what most of everyone is focusing on.
however the main argument was that pvd's production have gone to the gutter. Hell ill go see him when he comes to houston this summer but most people are missing the point of this thread. They are using his djing as a last attempt to overshadow the effortless productions of the recent.
SUre you cannot compare the glory years of 1999 to today.....BUt someone explain to me why LEAMA who has been around forever has not lost their touch production wise and has pumped tunes like melodica from back in the days to such remixes as ZOO YORK or forme......WHEN U COMPARE to pvd..is been a sad tumble to the basement |

Why do you guys even bother arguing who the better producer is. All everyone does is use their personal preferences to judge production skill. I like to see someone support their views with some hard facts. Example: Tiesto's production skills are better than PvD's because his chord progressions [cite example] do this and Paul's does this [cite example].
The fact of the matter is Paul van Dyk, Tiesto and Armin have never been as popular as they are currently. Some credit goes to their respective marketing teams but give those three a little credit for doing something right. |

STFU STFU STFU STFU. CAN EVERYONE STOP CALLING 1999 GLORY DAYS? Holy shiet.... u guys gotta get over it. ing a. those tracks are good which is true, but who ing gives. u guys are all like 20-30 and ur talking like ur a 70 year old whos all reminiscent of the past. just move on. production these days are just as good if not better. if you dont like the way it sounds then whatever, look at the TECHNICAL aspects of productions made today. they have so many more elements in them, far more effects, melodies are more complicated and intricate. howabout everyone just appreciate whats out there and stop DISRESPECTING all those artists who are just making music that they want to make. |

but tracks could of been much better....
