I saw the vid yesterday
It is very disturbing. It makes me sad and angry at teh same time. How come the media is not making such a big deal out of this as theyre making a HUUGE ass deal about "torturing" iraqi prisoners. |

I was kind of wondering the same thing myself. All the information about this whole ordeal i've learned from sites on-line
but nary a word about it on TV (both cable news networks and local channels as well). Of course i'm not glued to the TV 24/7 so they may have touched on it,
but when i just flip to CNN real quick, its more of the Hostage Tortures than anything else.

The Middle East... hmm... They have oil. If they didn't have oil, there would be nothing there but sand, dictators, people who enjoy destroying things, and a few million people who would rather bite the hand that is ing feeding them than do anything to assist the foreign men and women who are dying to keep them alive.
Name one good, positive thing that any government in the Middle East has done in the past 40 years for anyone other than themselves. NAME ONE. You will quickly find that that can't be done. They're nothing but a bunch of angry zealots arguing about who has the better imaginary friend.
As far as Israel is concerned, the only reason they have any power at all is because the United States supplies them with tanks, guns, and missiles. We've dumped more money into that country than any other ally we've ever had. They've given us -nothing in return, except maybe a few thousand soldiers every now and then when the risk of death is low and the reward looks promising. The irony there is that we gave them the equipment that said soldiers used to give us aid the few times Israel has stepped up and decided to help.
People fling at the United States because the government here is doing what it can to keep the world from tearing itself apart. If the American military had never taken part in anything in the Middle East to begin with, there wouldn't be anything there right now. They would have fought each other to death fifteen years ago. I'm surprised that there's as much there as there is, considering the outright stupidity of the people running things there.
Bush is an idiot, yes. I can't stand him or the things that he says on television. But off camera, he knows what he's doing, and at least he's making a go at eliminating the problems created by Middle Eastern nations that are ing over economies and politics all over the world. For that, he deserves nothing but the utmost respect.
Call me an idiot. I could care less. I live in the richest, most powerful country in the world. If we're idiots, why have we been running the show for as long as we have? Why have we remained the most powerful nation on the planet through two World Wars, Vietnam, and three major conflicts in the Middle East? Why are we always the one that has to go in and set things straight?
