Why, why take Cassano out?
Just like substituting Ronaldo for Portugal in the last 15 minutes...
These are the guys who should be starting. Too bad for Trapattoni, making those substitutions while they're uncalled for just set them back.
--
Aside from all that, there are talks about Totti leaving Roma?
If this ever happens, I'd be pretty happy. (On the other hand he'd be leaving to Milan I believe, Milan is just taking players from Roma)
Well as long as they still carry Cassano, I'm happy. All the trading they've done leaves them with a strong opportunity to pick up some key players. I'd like to see Davids on our side, that'd be sweet.
--
Back to Euro'04, Zidane will dominate...
Tomorrow: Netherlands vs. Czech -- Be sure to tune in!
(FYI: I think Kluivert is starting this one?) |

as for england winning it... well lets see how well you play against spain |
exactly...he's 18, played 7 or 8 games for England and has already scored 8 goals. He plays better in an England jersey than he does for Everton (my team incidentally). If you guys would actually watch football during the season, the word on Rooney is that he's going to be the next great English footballer, along the likes of Charlton, Moore, Hurst and Lineker. If you don't know who those guys are, you don't deserve to be debating this point. |

oh, and it looks great on Italy losing their lead like that. This is exactly why Serie A is a joke...1 goal games, boring defensive play, hanging on to leads. Awful crap.
I hope the pull out a "great" 1 nill victory against Bulgaria and Sweden and Denmark tie, leaving the Italians going home on goal differential. Fantastic. |

Funny, you also seem to be a big joke on these boards.
Shut up already you're not saying anything productive here. |

and what you're saying is productive? Look at your signature...anti-England stuff...my my, that's productive. How isn't Serie A a joke? Half the teams are bankrupt, the a class players are fleeing to England, Spain and Germany and it features the lowest goal average of any of the major leagues. Obviously, this disease carries over to the Italian nationals. They have never scored more than two goals in any Euro game. |

He actually has 16 caps...a fantastic ratio none the less. I think what makes him outstanding is the pace he has for his size...he's built like a brick house and runs like a rabbit. Also, he has passion and will take on anything or anybody. As long he's not sent off, he's golden. |

like i said wait a few years.. owen was hyped to be a future legend too when he was 18, but even though he is good now he is nowhere near legend status.
oh and dont assume you are the only one who watched footie during the season. assumptions are the root of all evil |

ok wait are you gonna tell me that what makes a great game is many goals? because if so YOU dont deserve to be talking about this at all. case and point today's italy-sweden game... it was a great game... with only 2 goals.. or conversely look at germany -saudi arabia.. one of the worst games ever but ended 8-0
btw out of curiosity i checked this season's goal average for the premiership and seria A... surprisingly they both had a 2.66 goals/game average
so there you go |

Italy - Sweden !
Absolutely incredible game ! I loved it ! Best of the tournament so far !
Both teams played amazing, and Italy really really surprised me. Didn't expect this kind of soccer from them.
Hopefully this tournament will feature more attacking football like we saw during that game today ! |

Ok Ok Ok, italy - sweden...
Great game indeed - great soccer from both teams........italian players cooperation is just fantastic i think.........too bad after their 3rd or 4th great pass, they screw up....
Italian goal = nicely headed.......
Swedish goal = eventhough it was hell and a total mess in front of Buffon, the finishing was just brilliant (lucky, perhaps, yet great).
but, question: Dont u think that italian players love the grass a bit too much? they're always rollin on the floor, complaining bout how they got hit, pushed and i dunno wot.....ah....it's kinda annoyin i think........ |
