I could assure you I watched it,
and if the defensive sides of both teams really play like that, I won't argue further than the fact they didn't even deserve to qualify.
last goal awarded (sweden)... what the hell was the goalie doing still on his knees? The shot wasn't too hard to catch.
I'm not saying I think it was FIXED for sure, but... there's always a chance.. |

Im not saying that the game is fixed.
Italy beat themselves up this tournament. Totti showed no class, del Piero and Vieri werent effective. Coach needs to be changed. But to say the italians were ruined is complete and utter bull, they had five points too and they never lost to the group winners. Plainly said, fifa awards offensive play, score lots of goals, you'll get through. I dont think goal differential is a good indication of how well teams play is what im saying. |

and considering that the soft ball wasnt caught by the keeper made me upset, but im not crying fixed. it just puts salt on the wound |

denmark is a stinggy defensive team, i couldnt believe the amount of chances they gave up to sweden, who should thank the lord above for scoring against italy. |

He wouldn't have retired if he was put in the squad. He did play in a friendly against spain in May.
PS. I was a HUGE Italian fan during World Cup 94. But when Baggio missed that penalty, and all Italian coaches suddently turned on him(apparently it was his fault that they didn't win, even though if it wasn't for Baggio, Italy wouldn't have reached the final in the first place), that's when I realized that I don't really wanna cheer for them any longer. |

And you know WHY that is...it's because when Italy wins they show off and cry how amazing they are...but when they lose, they blame everyone and everythin on earth except themselves and cry how badly they were treated :toothless |

that's exactly why I don't support Italy, besides the fact that they play defensive, unimaginative and BORING football. But it's true...when they go out of a tournament, they always blame the refereeing for non-calls (remember 2002?) or now this time they even have the AUDACITY to suggest a conspiracy on behalf of Sweden and Denmark. If there was a conspiracy, I'd find it humourous and still think it great that the cocky Italians are out. But let's be realistic...both the Swedes and Danes wanted to finish first in the group and played their hearts out. If Italy can't win by a margin of 3 or 4 goals against the weakest team in the Championship because they played like crap in their first two games, then that's THEIR problem. |
