I think any doubters of Wayne Rooney are hiding in shame right now. Even when he doesn't score, his instinct with the ball is just...amazing. He doesn't get greedy either, as seen in his beautiful header to Scholes, who by the way, finally came through. A convincing win but the Croats didn't give up so you have to hand them that. The only negative I take out of this game is David James. Granted, the first goal was a bit lucky and he did stop the initial shot and he made a great save to keep it 1 nill. But that second goal...he just stands on his line and watches the bloody ball. You can't do that at this level.
But anyway, look out Portugal..the English Lions are roaring.:D |

France 3 - Swiss 1
A good game by Les Bleus, although they still aren't near their full potential. Henry finally gets his much-anticipated goals. France looked very strong in the first half hour, playing ala Arsenal with sweet touches between pires, zidane and henry.
Bring on the Greeks Friday...and good luck Greece, your going to need it ;)

| Neither France nor England are firing on all cylinders in my opinion. They could very well meet again in the final, but they have to get better performances from key players. Beckham and Owen have really not done much, but if they for reason wake up, look out! |
