all i can say is we may have been robbed of a goal in the 89th minute, but to be fair, Portugal were all over us.
When it came to penalty's, a player of beckham's class and skill should really get the ball on ing target at the very least! I don't blame Vassell in the slightest for missing his penalty.
Beckham shot the english confidence to pieces with his pentalty and it was the est of the e.
oh well look out world, our young players have shined quite a bit, with the likes of Lampard, Rooney and the like.
think of what they will be like with more experience under their belts.

It was a harsh call, but what nobody seems to understand is that if you challenge the keeper for a high ball then 8/10 it will be a free kick if you make contact with him.
I've been playing football since I could walk, I've supported celtic fc all my life, so I know what heartbreak is like.
So before you start throwing stupid statements about do your back ground research first you stupid wee fanny.
I was merely pointing out the fact that to say urs meir(sp) gave the decision against england because he is a racist is absurd.

Portugal deserved to win though, they were the better team overall.
Oh well, we dutchies will kick Portugal out of the tournament in the semi's (after we beat Sweden, that is) :D |
