Theres a Mod atm that enables 32 player on maps ;) id knew that mod developers would take hold of the mp and spice it up.

DOOM3 is the only game I've played that actually scared me in some parts, it was awesome. The last game I remember that was creepy was Silent Hill but this doesn't even compare.

I just played Doom 3 for the first time today. This game scares the out of me, and i was playing on daytime. Also, i tend to be claustrophoic and this game defines that word. Only thing that disaponts me is the fps...i mean it's playable but it doesn't run as smooth and im running on 2.4 ghz and with video quality on medium too!

if you have a high end vid card, sometimes the drivers come with demos of various 3d models and effects to test and show the cards capabilities and your computers fps|

i believe my unsatisfactory year old Nvidea Geforce4 MX 440 has that, and it sets my quality settings to the lowest whenever i perform the test!!:whip:

I WANT TO PLAY THE DAMN GAME ON ULTRA HIGH QUALITY WITH NO LAG AT ALL!!!!

will getting a new video card help the fps problem??

my specs are 2.4 GHz, 256 Memory, and enough space....

can someone also explain to me what the difference is between "Screen size" and "Video Quality" in the system options?

They both look like the same things indicating the level of graphics...

firstly, 256MB of RAM will not cut it, you want prefs 1G, or minimum 512.

as for resolution and quality.

resolution determines the amount of pixels used in the game, 800x600 = bigger overall pixels which will look blockier, the higher the res, the smoother the polygons will be.

the quality determines texture and bump-mapping levels, ie, how detailed a face looks or how nice a shadow is cast.

hope that helps

I've just completed the whole game 2 days ago. I was a little bit disapointed at how short and simple Doom 3 was for a modern PC game.

I believe Doom 3 needs improvement in physics. For Example: More details when picking up items, objects should break when shot at, enemies shouldn't just incinerate when dead, that was just lame in my opinion, not being able to get on top of obstacles that's less than half your height (ID should've created climbing).

Other negatives: plot, too much darkness, tight spaces, controls are to simple, lack of intelligence in the enemies you face, imps are overused, and finally the system requirements for doom 3 is too much.
The game could have used a much better environment. Since the whole story is based on mars, ID has limited the possibilities of creating a better scheme for the game.

Positives: scary, fun, good shadowing, realistic characters, that's pretty much about it. I really enjoyed this game although it could've been much better so i give this game a rating of 7.5/10

well i installed my friends copy and I have currently playing on LOW graphics with a NO CD Crack. and I must say that this game is pretty scary...from the atmosphere to all the sounds and the plot. This game is brutal.
