TAs sure did coin a lot of terms like EDM and many others. It's hard to believe I've been coming here for almost 13 years.

I quite agree. When I was 16 years old in 2004 I had no credibility whatsoever.
rubez
haven't checked out any of the tunes, but you probably did... it's just that your pretentious veneer of pomp has rocketed off the scale since then :happy2:

Someone who makes endless threads entitled "Timeless transcendental masterpieces" to describe progressive trance calling me pretentious. The irony is so rich that I could pour it on my Sunday dinner instead of gravy.
rubez
just listen to yourself mate, case in point.

not my top 10 nowadays but it's close. only one that i question it's rank is "flesh" since i rate tilt's remix ahead of tiësto's remix. but love all of them tunes though.

That list would sure look a lot different nowadays.

I have to agree. DJ Tiesto was a god back then (especially in '04) but Tilt's Going Home Mix is fire.

To be honest, TA wasn't even close to coining the term EDM - I think it's ridiculous. Just check this video from 1999 at the 30 second mark. It didn't originate from this video either, but it clearly says electronic dance music, which obviously can be abbreviated as EDM.

Earliest use of the phrase 'electronic dance music' on TA was Apr 9 2001 by someone from San Francisco, USA - here

Earliest use of the term EDM on TA was May 16 2002 by someone from Baltimore, USA - here

What I meant to say was, as far as internet land goes TA was the forum that got EDM going. From what I remember PVD started the whole electronic dance music term.
