well u never know wat will happen. i remember the winter olypics where they gave out 2 gold medals when the silver was already awared to teh canadian pair in figure skating.

so u never know, they just mite re run it if there is enuff presure on teh officials

Yeah but that was a judging controversy...you can't tell how well the Russian girl would have finished.... :( It's really sad though.

Well there'll be no re-run of the race...that's for sure now...too bad really I feel really horrible for both the women, and even more for the Russian girl cause it just wasn't her fault :( Perdita will be back you know it! :whip:

On a happier note - Alexander Despatie won a silver medal in 3m springboard diving YAY :D And our female cyclist won the gold medal in sprint :D:D:D. It's nice to see things picking up :D.



I'm totally extatic now too because Gal Friedman, the Israeli "sailor" - it's windsurfing actually - in mistral class just won Israel's first ever gold medal at the Olympic games!!! :D :D :D :D MAN there will be a big party down there tonight :p




Oh...and Iraq's superstar run in soccer is almost over :( They were defeated 3:1 in the semis and will now play for the bronze. Gotta give them credit though those guys are the real dream team :p

russia finally tied China in the nedal totals at 52... still a ways to go to match their gold tally... but the last 2 days have been great

That's awesome :D:D Yahoo's slow today with updating medals...but good stuff :) I heard there are 13 different events today that will award medals...crazy :eyespop:

i was watching the synchronized swimming....wow!

those russian girls know how to swim!

they got all 10's in the performance part and two 10's in teh technical
